2009. I camped out with some great friends @shgtt471 @dsicle to get the Space Jam Air Jordan 11 at Town East Mall. The limit was 2 pairs per customer. I worked at a small boutique at the time and we didn’t receive our shipment. IMO the best era if you really liked sneakers and there were very few “influencers”. In Dallas, there was a short list of resellers so a sneaker assist was a lot more common (my 2 went to old customers). Tomorrow I reach a milestone in my life, something as a kid I never thought I see. Through all the ups and downs, I never stopped believing even through all the bumps. My family and friends have been the backbone of my journey. No booklet, no manual all #PresenceOverPresents! In life the true currency is people, family and friends who become family, they truly make the world go around. When I was younger I chased everything materialistic how foolish. As I turn 50 tomorrow i’m still just a kid from Brooklyn trying to shine my light bright to all those around the 🌍. I lived 10 lives and I’m thankful for all the lessons and blessings. No matter what happens in your life, trust the process, and trust the journey. I still have both my parents. I have both my kids, so many great family members and friends what more can I ask for!? Before @tastemakerconference started, we took a tour of a local distillery and a local brewery with collaborators that we have been working with remotely for YEARS. It’s so lovely to have met them all in real life and to meet the real humans behind all the names we talk to on Slack. It makes working together so much more seamless!
