This was a joy to craft! Photos taken at the Port of Pensacola featuring the John Turecamo and Buck Pate iconic tug boats.

Recently I had the pleasure of being asked to test the @dsleathergoods new Cape Islander wallet pattern in collaboration with @oaleathersupply.

Being relatively new to the community and a Canadian it was a real honour to test something made with Canadians in mind and named after one of our boats, the cape Islander.

This here is the Compact version in Buttero Hatch and Navy Pueblo with OA’s house thread. The pattern is a fun take with that funky inner opening that comfortably held some folded cash and cards. There is also a cash version that has a generous cash pocket on the back to fit even more cash, freeing up the inside pockets for your cards.

This here is shot at Fairy Lake in my hometown of Newmarket, Ontario 🇨🇦 which I’ll be sure to add to the map! Thanks again to Deyan and Ian for the cool opportunity and cooler pattern!

Welp… this project took a little longer than I anticipated!

I’ve been experimenting with leather tooling lately, and I think I’ve officially caught the bug. There’s something truly mind-blowing about taking a flat piece of leather and transforming it into a three-dimensional work of art. The skill, patience, and creativity it takes to do this kind of work has given me an entirely new level of respect for the artists who do it day in and day out.
I had an absolute blast bringing this purse to life, and I can already tell this won’t be my last tooling project. There’s still so much to learn, and I’m excited to see how far I will take this…
