BUILT FOR THE MOMENT. PREPARED FOR THE NEXT LEVEL. 🏈💪

Hear directly from @josephmanjack4 Joseph Manjack IV (@tcufootball ) and @dmackkkkk.1 DeMarcus Hendricks (@redwolvesfb ) as they share their experience training with me and preparing for the NFL Combine.

When you’re chasing the next level, every rep matters. Every sprint has a purpose. Every detail counts.

NFL Combine preparation is about more than just running fast and lifting weights. It’s about maximizing performance, mastering technique, building confidence, and making sure you’re ready when your opportunity comes.

The goal is simple: Prepare. Perform. Separate yourself.

Proud to be part of their journey and help them take the next step toward their goals. The work speaks for itself. 🔥

🏈 PRO SHUTTLE BREAKDOWN | PART 1: THE FIRST 5 YARDS ⏱️

The Pro Shuttle, also known as the 5-10-5, is more than just a change-of-direction test. It’s about acceleration, deceleration, body control, and the ability to redirect force efficiently.

Over the next few posts, we’re breaking down the shuttle in 5-yard increments to explain exactly what we’re looking for, what athletes should be feeling, and how to improve their technique.

Let’s start with the first 5 yards. 👇

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

🔹 1. Start Position & Balance
We need a balanced squat position. I like to teach our athletes to snap down into their stance so they’re ready to produce force immediately. If we’re going right first, the right hand goes down.

🔹 2. Push-Off Mechanics
We’re pushing off the outside edge of the right foot and the inside edge of the left foot to create an aggressive first movement.

🔹 3. First Two Steps
Step 1 is a crossover step with the left leg. Step 2 continues to drive us toward the cone. Every step needs a purpose!

🔹 4. The Third Step: DECELERATION
This is arguably the most important step. It begins the transition from deceleration back into acceleration. We need to start hinging at the hips, lowering our center of mass, and preparing our body to redirect.

BEND, DON’T BREAK! 💥

🔹 5. The Fourth Step: Hit the Cone
Our right foot needs to land directly on the cone. If we overrun it, we’re giving away valuable time. Precision matters!

🔹 6. Body Position & Shin Angles
As we approach the cone, our hips and body weight need to stay directed toward the middle cone. This helps create the shin angle we need to accelerate back out.

If our hips and body weight shift too far back or we stand up too early, our shin angles become more vertical. Instead of projecting out of the turn, we pop up—and that costs time.

At DST, we coach the details because the difference between fast and elite often comes down to the little things.

The world will try to teach these kids that ambition has to be ruthless. That getting ahead means keeping everyone else behind.

I see it differently.

If you want to build a young leader who won’t fold under pressure, you don’t coach from fear—you lead with compassion. You challenge them until their lungs burn, but you make sure they know their worth is never on the line. Teach them the hunger to outwork the room, paired with the humility to protect the people in it.

Grit builds the motor. Compassion builds the character.

Long before they step out into the world on their own, young leaders need two things: the fire to chase what’s possible, and a steady foundation of belief that never wavers when they struggle.

Real mentorship is tough love in its purest form—holding the bar high because you know what they’re capable of, and standing right there to catch them if it gets too heavy.

Proud of the work. Proud of the heart. The future is in good hands.

From the 713 to the 830 — DST New Braunfels is officially here. ⚾️⚡️

For over a decade, Dynamic Sports Training has changed the athletic development culture in Houston. Now, we’re bringing that exact same elite standard, data-driven methodology, and championship mindset out to Central Texas.

At DST, athletic development isn’t random. From the pros all the way down to our youth athletes, every single rep, throw, swing, and lift is tracked, measured, and built around one unified plan built around their goals:

Sports Performance: Unlock pure power and durability.

Hitting: Build real bat speed and repeatable mechanics.

Arm Care (Throwing) & Pitching: Maximize velocity while protecting the arm.

Whether you're looking for comprehensive I'llgroup programs (Single, Double, or Triple options) or 1-on-1 private instruction, our mission never changes:
Equip. Encourage. Empower.

The last of the college boys

If you don’t know about Thomas and about his lore at @dst_houston North let me explain. This dude walked in 3 years ago into Bricks Fall Velo Group at around 160ish pounds, and after the Fall program was over it was like Thomas had ate the previous Thomas gaining over 20 pounds and completely changing his body comp 😂🤣! Thomas is still the quiet kid that goes about his business but good lord does this guy lock in to move heavy objects. To this day I haven’t seen a kid do the things he does in the weight room and ask if he can go heavier 😂🔥

@blinn_baseball

Good Luck LaGorga, LFG 🔥

COACH LARP

Mr. McNew has been one of my favorite kids to train these past 5 years. Adam has always brought energy and has outrageous ball knowledge when it comes to quoting movies and shows 😂😂 I can always rely on him to bring in new music to gym and bring his PHD in Vibes 🔥🤣

@austincollege

LFG COACH LARP 🔥🔥🔥

O Captain! My Captain! 🤣

Captain of the home schoolers, THE Jack Coleman. I’ve worked with Jack Jack for 5 years, in San Antonio I covered for a few weeks and was told we had a kid driving from and hour and half away to come train and remember thinking that some kids and some families want it more than others and respectfully that’s what it takes. Jack is always looking to do more and always chirping to make sure the gym isn’t f****** around hahah 🤣 And without a doubt, every time I turn on any kind of Divorce Dad Rock, Jack Jack WILL be thought of 😂🔥

@weatherford_college

Good Luck Captain, LFG 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Big Bro, Lil Bro

The LIFE of the 1 o’clock group, plain and simple. Every summer I’ve worked at North these boys have been a staple in the afternoon HOT AS HELL group 😂! These boys have been leaders to younger athletes in these groups and have been their best supporters and sh*t talkers 🔥🤣! I can always rely on these two to be gung-ho when it comes to being competitive with each other and to the athletes in their groups, these two HATE to lose and that trait carry’s weight. I’m proud to have worked with these two for this long and their loyalty to trusting us in the weight room. Thank you boys and don’t worry, lil br
