THE ARTIST IS THE ARTWORK
A Performance Piece for an Audience of One

What if being an artist is about more than making and selling artwork?

Join us at Alameda Gallery & Collective for an informal conversation and artist mixer with John Boychuk, artist, public artist and Strategic Advisor — about building a creative life beyond the traditional studio-to-gallery path.

We’ll talk about finding opportunities in unexpected places, getting involved in your community, turning experience into credibility, making connections, and building not just a portfolio of things you’ve made, but a portfolio of things you’ve made happen.

This isn’t a seminar about personal branding or how to sell more art. It’s a conversation about creative freedom, community, relationships and the wonderfully weird zigzag that an artist’s life can take.

Come with questions. Meet other artists. Share what you’re working on. Maybe find someone you should be working with

I had the chance to hop on the podcast with @duckingrealitea, and wow... what a great time! I admired the beautiful art in her home, sipped wine at @vinylwinebar, and had an dope conversation. Grateful for the experience and already looking forward to the next one. 🍷🎙️✨

Whelp, Tibs is currently in 4th place and needs to be in 1st by 7 tonight to advance to the finals.

It’s just sad to see three purebreds ahead of him instead of rescues, because that’s what this fundraiser is all about.

But it all goes to PAWS, so that’s a win. That being said, if you were thinking of donating, we have until 7 tonight before voting ends, and Tiburon needs to be #1 tonight advance. You can also vote for free!

Thank you for all of your support so far! Tibs and Lee 💜 you!

How I’m feeling on the inside. As I start to reflect on this past year I’m so grateful for all those I’ve met, gotten closer with and get to miss with all my heart.
Thanksgiving has long been my favorite holiday, the act of making food for those you love. Breaking bread and being grateful for all that you have, sitting around the table full and joyful sharing stories of the past with those you love. This year might have looked a little different for me but all the past years and future dinners fill my heart with joy and gratitude.
Happy Thanksgiving y’all.

Cherish your joy and loved ones a little tighter today. 💜🌺

Love this place and the amazing people I’ve met here. I’m all about a packed, high-energy night, but love a quiet celebratory cider. Made it through another one.
Thanks for hanging, y’all!

See you next Thursday. 💜✨
