Brat, Climpson’s Arch Started with the Oyster w Apple & Dill 🦪 Simple, clean flavours, perfect way to start the meal ! Turnips w Cod Roe 🥕 Easily our favourite dish of the night 😭 I’m always in awe of chefs who are able to turn vegetables into really interesting dishes with unique flavour combinations! Chorizo and blood sausage w pickles 🌭 The chorizo had a bite to it and the blood sausage had a great deep meaty flavour , the pickle really helped balance the other flavours but overall we would’ve skipped this to save space for something else. Anchovy flatbread 🫓 🐟 It truly was flatbread season this trip and this really lived up to our expectations! So soft and pillowy ! Roast chicken rice 🍚 🍗 Unfortunately we were STUFFED at this point, so we weren’t able to enjoy this as much as we wanted to , but the flavour on the chicken was layered and umami heaven ! The rice was really smoky and had a good bite to it, great option for a sharing main. But there’s always space for dessert, and the Burnt cheesecake 🍰 was to die for !!!! Ugh still dreaming about that caramel sauce!!!! Overall I love that I finally got to try Brat! I’d love to visit their main branch the next time (hopefully I can visit during spring because I’d love a spring menu from them!) *their menu is seasonal depending on produce available and they get super creative so it’s really worth visiting during different seasons !!!!
