Worked with this great group for the last 18 months with the goal of creating a signature score for the NBA and a larger Sonic Landscape for the entire league. History is Calling is on broadcast and in arena now. Lots of exciting expansion of this music to come.

22 going on 23 - It was my 7th year as a Party Promoter and my 1st year in Artist Management. Dance floors were getting smaller while Table Service and VIP sections were becoming the norm. Those damn waist belts had me in a chokehold 😂

The Promoter Formerly known as Big Lez - Born in the 80’s, raised in the 90’s, partied in the 2000’s, no video evidence - Just these pics 🤞🏽. I was in clubs every night from Wednesday to Monday, with Tuesdays off for Poker Night with the guys. I was 23 going on 24 and had been a Party Promoter for 8 years. The nightlife scene in Hollywood was booming, you just had to be there.

#TBT Life before Instagram - 2010
I was 25 and busy! It was my 3rd year at Emagen: Nas & Damian Marley dropped the “Distant Relatives” album and went on tour. I also worked at Atom Factory: Lady Gaga was thee biggest Pop Artist out, Toni Braxton just started shooting “Braxton Family Values” with her sisters, and Mindless Behavior was our priority boy group.

One day I was sad about a guy and it disrupted my focus at the office, I confided to Anthony about it. His response: “You work with a Hip-Hop legend and the biggest artist in the world, how the f*ck do you have time to be sad about a guy?!” My perspective on dating changed after that, and I prioritized work over people who didn’t prioritize me.

That summer, I smoked my first cigar. After a show, me and Liz went to the Cigar Lounge that used to be at The Bridge. I remember I smoked a little dainty cigar, just trying to be cute lol. Not too long after that, I told Nas that I smoked a cigar and liked it - so for my birthday he gave me a box of Cuban Cigars. I’ve been on Big Boss Sticks ever since.

#FBF Life before Instagram - 2011
This was the year my life’s path started to reveal itself, I was 26 going on 42 (I’ve always felt 15 years older). It was my 4th year working at Emagen, and my responsibilities with Nas were growing. I was also a former club promoter who managed @djbad so I was still in the mix of Hollywood nightlife.

It was a year of firsts; first time going to Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Queensbridge. First time going on tour and sleeping in a bus bunk, first time experiencing the Canadian border 😅, first time being pouched by another artists team (I didn’t leave & stayed loyal), and first time stepping up to a position, showing out, and excelling. There are so many other firsts to name but I’ll save them for the hypothetical “book”.

At the time I had no clue what was ahead of me, but I was ready for it. You’ve seen the last 15 years of my life and career pan out on IG, but here’s a snapshot of life before the app. Enjoy the throwbacks!
