Happy Friday darklings!

We have a super-special announcement to begin our Virtual Gothla: Bloody Valentine IV performer announcements with! For the first time at Gothla UK, we have Dud Muurmand’s Volve-Project!

During 2023, Dud offered her Patreon online dance community a class project with the theme of the Norse Volve.

In this project the dancers had could work together with Dud in the process of creating a dynamic, storytelling dance piece with theoretical source inputs from history, mythology, fiction work and other artistic interpretations. The first result of this work was this project-video created from recordings made by the dancers themselves in their home nature and a joint ZOOM-performance in studio.

Later in 2023 the project was presented on stage at Uma Obscura, Sweden.

The Volve-Project is still alive… also with real-life stage performances coming up in 2024!

If you know Dud you know this promises to be a powerful and evocative performance not to be missed!

Grab your tickets from the link in our bio now!

⁣⁣The way she turned and spun on the floor was mesmerising. There’s nothing quite so magical as beautiful dance with great music, it’s captivating.⁣⁣

This is beautiful dancer Dud, @dudmuurmand wearing her Niflheim Drops. These were made with vintage crystals but I make similar designs with Swarovski and other styles of vintage crystals. Ever since we have been in “lockdown” mode, Dud has been doing live daily dance classes that are keeping me moving, happy and sane! Her unique mix of dark fusion, ATS(r), folkloric skirt, classic Raqs and Weimar style cabaret is really exciting. She is an accessible and compassionate teacher, too. Check out her IG and Patreon— she has online classes for all levels!

Maybe the dance begins with a spark. An idea. A piece of fabric. A melody. We follow the thread, we gather the inspirations, we translate the music into feeling into movement. The stage is waiting. The audience is waiting. We are waiting.
The next Caravanseray Show will take place on Friday 28.August 2020 at the Simm City. Nobody knows yet what will happen on stage. The stories are just now beginning to coalesce in the minds and bodies of the dancers all around the world. We open the performance applications on 10.March 2020, so be ready to join the flow of ideas and send us your pieces!

Reposted backstage fun from @nakaritribal: Slowly we're emerging from the piles of costuming, paperwork and laundry... And finding pictures on our phones that we didn't have time to post during #CarVie19 like this #obligatorybackstageselfie of our awesome teacher team. Swipe to see our real feelings... 😂😈😇
