Our Lincoln Lee is officially a Kindergartener! 😭🥹

This summer flew by again and it’s always bittersweet when it comes to an end and the school year begins. Lincoln had the best experience last year and absolutely flourished his last year of Pre-K. Now that he’s beginning kindergarten there are a lot of unknowns, but I can only hope this year brings him so much joy and fun. He also rode the bus for the first time this morning and I ain’t gonna lie, it was rough. But I’m so proud of him because even though he was reluctant to let go of me, he did! He got on and sat in his seat and went off to school. My mama heart hurts as always but I’m so excited to continue seeing him grow. We love you so much Lincoln! ❤️

Last day of pre-k for our Lincoln Lee 🎉

Lincoln’s 2nd and last year of pre-k went by so quickly, but it was a complete 180 from his first year. We learned so much year one and took every lesson into this 2nd year. We’re so grateful for Lincoln’s teachers who have supported him from the beginning and let him be himself. He’s had the kindest classmates who have been so gracious. We are so proud of Lincoln and how he’s met every challenge with his fierce heart and silly personality. We love you sweet boy! Time to enjoy our summer ☀️❤️

Five incredible years of our Lincoln Lee. It’s all flown by so fast, too fast. You were the sweetest baby and you’ve grown into a tenacious, loving, brilliant boy. You’re still sweet with a side of sour, my sour patch kid. When I think about how hard you’ve worked at school and therapy, the determination you have when your mind is set on something, I can only beam with admiration. Your smile is infectious, your laugh is a serotonin boost and your hugs..pure joy. I hope you always head with that great big heart of yours and you never let the world dim your light. I’m just so proud of you and how far you’ve come. When I look at you, I know I was meant to be your mama. Thank you for choosing me. Happy birthday my sweet boy. Please don’t grow up too fast. I love you always ❤️

“Welcome to Holland” written by Emily Kingsley

April is Autism Awareness Month and 2.5 years ago we stepped into the unknown, hand in hand. Little did we know how much our world would change, but it was a different world full of love, hope and endless wonder.

To our brave, fierce and wondrous boy - we are so proud of you. We love you ❤️
