This weekend, I had the honor of returning to receive a 2026 Forever Duke Award for my leadership with the Duke DC Women of Color Coalition and our Nourish & Flourish Retreat.

In many ways, being recognized for this work wove together threads that have shaped my career and is what continues to root me in my women, wellness, and leadership work today. This award feels like both a celebration of what's been built, as well as affirmation to keep going.

Nearly 10 years ago I arrived at Duke to pursue my MBA at Fuqua, uncertain yet trusting of where the journey would lead me. Fast forward to today and I'm still here choosing to trust the journey, doing great things in service, and of course, (as any good Blue Devil knows how) having a little fun along the way. 💙

We’re proud to share that KeyPath Founder @Laurel.Djoukeng has joined the Board of Directors of the @dcforhomeless.

For more than four decades, the Coalition has worked to support individuals and families experiencing homelessness through housing, shelter, employment support, and services designed to help people move toward greater stability and self-sufficiency.
As a Washington, D.C. native, Laurel is grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside the Coalition’s leadership and fellow board members and contribute his experience across real estate, finance, technology, entrepreneurship, and community development.
At KeyPath, we believe housing stability and economic mobility are deeply connected. We are proud to see Laurel continue that commitment through his personal service to an organization doing meaningful work in the community.

Donate used books, CDs, DVDs, and Vinyl for the @carpelibrum_dc used bookstore. Proceeds benefit @turningthepagedc which seeks to engage families as active participants in their children’s education.

@dukeuniversity Alum Jason King founded Turning the Page back in 1998. As a mother of an avid reader and an aspiring author, I am proud to support an organization which champions literacy for our children. Proceeds from donated books and book sales directly support TTP’s literacy, learning, and family engagement programs across Washington, DC.

On Saturday Jan. 24, we will support Kenny Blakeney '95, former captain of the Duke Men’s Basketball Team and Head Coach of the Howard University Men's Basketball Team, and Nate James '01, Associate Head Coach, as the Bison take on the Morgan State Bears!

We will sit together behind the home bench to cheer on the Bison.
