👟 Artist Run Club –– Wednesday, October 17, 2026, 9am:

🍁 We started at Govalle Park and ran to Co-Lab Projects ( @colabprojectstx ) to see “Within my Maze of Memory” by Isadora Jackson ( @isadora.a.jackson ) curated by Leslie Moody Castro.

The weather was perfect for running — cool but not too cold. Sean Gaulager of Co-Lab met us and introduced Jackson’s maze-like installation of hanging fabric. The morning sunlight made the screen-printed images glow while music and spoken word played above us.

Stacked on my desk, memories old and borrowed. Timed by a watch and a reminder, not needed, don’t forget the future. More often need to be reminded to not forget about the now.

[personal Polaroids, friends with Polaroids, zines and small prints by kind and talented people, old Japanese photos from Uncommon Objects, my favorite watch, and a rare 1913 magazine, stickers, and shopping merch]

👟👟 Artist Run Club –– Wednesday, May 13, 2026, 6:30am:

✌️ We stopped at two galleries today! First, MASS gallery for LAMP, a group show curated by Ariel Wood, and then ICOSA to see the Window Dressing installation by run clubber, Preetal Shah ( @arielrw @massgallery ) ( @preetal @icosa_art )

🧹 Ariel Wood described the show as looking at a space of domesticity in a strange, surrealist way. The artists’ mashed found items together to make new household objects, allowing the things around them to become their medium.

🔠 Afterwards, we ran a mile to ICOSA where Preetal talked about his collaged wall of letters. Each letter was intricately designed to be drastically different from one another and draw inspiration from artists and creators that Preetal looks up to. We all took time to decode the message the letters created.

💡 Phillip led the run around to Tillery and back to MASS. ( @phillip_niemeyer )

👟 Artist Run Club –– Wednesday, March 18, 2026, 6:30am:

🌷🃏We returned to Northern–Southern to see “Deck of Many Things” by Brian Dulaney and “TWISTS” by Michelle Marchesseault. ( @norrthernsouthern @dulaneystudio @mic_helle_mm )

🟧 Artist and longtime run clubber, Brian Dulaney, came to the gallery to speak about his work. Through a series of small screen prints, Brian, with the assistance and inspiration of his creative kids, creates tiny worlds and imaginary characters on hand-cut playing-card-sized pieces of paper. Each series of prints holds a theme associated with either an object, an idea, and/or a story told through each piece. Brian takes a playful, artistic approach to collectible cards by producing small editions of each card, encouraging viewers to collect the ones that speak to them.

♨️ In the back gallery, gallery owner, Phillip Niemeyer, spoke about Michelle Marchesseault’s work. Each of Marchesseault’s pieces contains their signature “S” shape that repeats and is interrupted by organic brushstrokes that appear to be from nature.

🚘 Christos led a 4.5-mile run down Congress and along the Town Lake Trail. ( @secedenyc ) On our run, we stumbled upon a submerged car in the lake, but who’s to say it wasn’t just an art installation?

🍀 After the run, we met back at the gallery for coffee and water, provided by Phillip. Thanks Phillip! ( @phillip_niemeyer )

🌷🃏We’ll return to Northern–Southern to see “Deck of Many Things” by Brian Dulaney and “TWISTS” by Michelle Marchesseault. ( @norrthernsouthern @dulaneystudio @mic_helle_mm )

6:30am — art
7:00am — run

Brian Dulaney is a regular member of our club. “Deck of Many Things” is a collection of 120 mini-prints, like cards, ranging from the whimsical to the grotesque. “TWISTS” is a retrospective of particular motif in the painting of Michelle Marchesseault, the field of S-curves painted with an exhaled breath.

Phillip Niemeyer of Northern-Southern and our club will host and introduce the work. ( @phillip_niemeyer ) Brian is sure to be there, too.

📍 to get there:
Northern-Southern is downtown on East 5th Street halfway between Brazos and San Jacinto. Look for a blue bike rack and a blue door.

🅿️ parking:
Street parking, free until 8am, will be less abundant the normal because of SXSW road closures, but spaces should be findable. Downtown is easy to navigate early in the morning.
