Butcher and the Rye is FINALLY back and we snagged reservations for their opening night! We ordered a little bit of everything to share family style and our cocktails were delicious and the food was somehow even better! Standout dishes included the focaccia with chicken fat butter, the duck rillette, butcher burger, and dirty pasta. The dirty pasta was phenomenal and I can’t stop thinking about it. We ordered one of each dessert and loved them all but the baked alaska was our favorite. I definitely want to come back and try more dishes! This year’s theme was prom and I’m so grateful to the planners who put in so much time and effort and everyone who braved the snowstorm for it! Have you been to Rib Room before? It’s tucked away inside Meat & Potatoes and their focus is on prime rib! The space is small with 16 seats and the red leather and vintage wallpaper make it a whole upscale vibe. We got a prime rib along with their Delmonico special of the day and a bunch of sides to share. Everything was so flavorful, decadent, and delicious! We ended the meal with their baked Alaska which is a showstopper of a dessert. Our service was fantastic and everyone in our group kept raving about how great our meal was. Put this on your to go list if you haven’t been yet! If you’re looking for a behind the scenes dining adventure in Pittsburgh then look no further than the chef’s table experience at Hyeholde! They have up to two slots per evening and you have to call to make a reservation. We were led to our table tucked away in the kitchen and six of us enjoyed a delicious six course meal. Most of us opted to go with the wine pairing option and you can also order cocktails and other beverages a la carte. My favorite courses were the short rib and the bread pudding dessert! We all had a lovely time and would recommend this experience. ✨ Thirty Flirty and Thriving ✨ The big 3-0. Never thought I’d make it this far. Had an incredible Talloweekend with friends and glad to say that Talloween IV was the best yet. So many incredible moments this weekend from seeing @gflip to dancing at @discosundaydisco with so many friends from across the city. Shoutout to a killer bocce team where Pink Bocce Club made it to quarterfinals too! It’s been such a tough year for so many reasons but the last month of love, joy, and friendship has made surviving this year one for the books. To say I am lucky is an understatement. I love you all so much. For another 30 and for many Talloween to come. (Plus I still have to post my NYC trip! Made many new friends and got to spend some days seeing my lovely family!!)
