Loved my year I became so strong and powerful this year I recorded my album and am currently at the end of the standard 1 year editing process (that's just how long it takes).
Got a coveted Tubi credit! Also got into 2 festivals and actually got into 3 if you count a fill in spot at a Toronto one and I do count that, it is an honour to be the person someone thinks of when they are panicking.
Hosted for Shane Torres and an instagram comic who didn't like me but was still really nice. Opened for Jon Dore, met an airport dog, continued to give the finger when someone takes a picture of me because I don't have any other moves. And most importantly I did the show where everyone does 30 minutes.

Parts of it also sucked but you don't get to know me like that. To you I am invincible, to you I am perfect, I am timeless, I will kill god!!!

Things I’ll remember about 2025, in no particular order:

First time ring announcing (terrifying)

Started my student therapy practice (somehow less terrifying)

Took myself on a writer’s retreat in the prettiest little tiny house.

The Cody Rhodes windbreaker and my hero’s journey in purchasing it.

Spending time in cute as hell Stratford seeing classy ass theatre with @allison.dore

Lots of time outside in the sun where I belong.

Working hard on a solid block of sketches for the first out of town show in @boygirlpartysketch history!

Continuing to heal my relationship with my body, achieving shy little milestones that feel huge to me.

Baseball.

Needlessly elaborate live comedy shows and riding ttc with duffel bags full of props.

People who were kind to me, which Im grateful to say were in the majority.

New friends!

Derek Adams is a Toronto based stand-up comedian with an off-beat, absurd sense of humor and laid back delivery. He has performed on the SiriusXM Top Comic contest, Toronto Fringe Fest and the Sled Island Festival. He co-hosted a weekly comedy show in Toronto called Curveball Comedy and can now been seen on various stages throughout the city.
