Today I went to doggy daycare… basically nursery for dogs, but for me it was a FULL-ON RAVE! 🐶🎉😂

So many doggies, so many potential besties! I was SO excited I could barely contain myself! 🤪🐾

I’m a total social butterfly 🦋🐶 and my VIPs for the day were Dougie the black Labrador and Daisy the Greyhound. Obviously, I made friends immediately! 😎❤️

Now I’m completely pooped and snoring on the sofa. Turns out partying hard is exhausting! 💤😂🐾

We use people carriers for our daycare collections, not vans, and after fifteen years this is exactly how we set them up.

They're bright and airy, so the dogs can see out, and there's no branding on the cars. Each car is split in three. Puppies, new dogs and older dogs ride up front with the driver, with a divider between the front seats. The middle section behind the back doors is galvanised, powder coated steel with bedding on a raised floor, and Eleanor, our puppy guru, uses it for training too. The boot is one big crate where everyone else cuddles up, because they all know each other. By the drive home, most of them are out for the count.

A few of you will ask, so: our cages are handmade in the UK by Barjo.

Save this if you're setting up your first dog car. Dog walkers and daycare owners, how have you set up yours?

Barry had the best time at the RSPCA Mount Noddy Dog Show. He walked away with 1st Place as Best Rescue, 2nd Place in Most Loveable Lad….. and then I was totally shocked but so happy that he won ‘Top Dog 2026’ what a Champion! I’m so proud of him, he proves to society everyday that Bull Breeds with the right training, socialisation and love can be the best dogs. Such a good boy 🐻🐶❤️ A real gentle giant 🐶🐻Thank you to @royvondogs for their dedication training Barry from 10 weeks old to be such a good boy, as well as @duncansdogco for his ongoing socialisation at Daycare. We are celebrating with snuggles and snoring….. he’s shattered, it’s hard work being so fabulous 🏆🤎

This is your sign to never, ever give up.

In 2024 I was told I wasn't allowed to look after dogs on my own land. Land I own. On a business that had been five star licensed the entire time.

What followed cost me £250,000. My fixed rate ended right in the middle of it too, so my mortgage went from £3,500 to £11,000 a month, for close to two years.

We sat in front of 8 councillors. Every single one overturned the recommendation to refuse. Unanimous.

Fifteen years in, and that's still the year I find hardest to talk about. But if you're in your hard year right now, this is your sign.

What's the year in your business you don't usually talk about?

Fifteen years running Duncan's Dog Co taught us exactly where the software was letting daycare owners down. So we built the one we wished we had. 🐾

Swipe to slide 2: it's Sunday, 9:47pm. The dogs went home hours ago, but the admin didn't — a reschedule request, three unpaid invoices, a road closure for Monday, a message about Milo going off his food. That's the exact hour Genera was built for.

Then meet the three people actually running this thing, and why every feature gets tested at Duncan's Dog Co before it ever reaches yours.

Speaking the truth! Our industry is wildly unregulated.

Daycares, breeders, trainers, groomers, anyone can open tomorrow. The only part actually properly regulated? Vet care.

This is one clip from a longer conversation with Ceara, founder of The Big Bowowski, about running a dog business. Full episode is live on YouTube now, link in bio. #dogdaycare #dogboarding #smallbusinessowner #petindustry #dogtraining ukdogs

The Big Bowowski is about to make a BIG SPLASH! 🌊🐾

We are beyond excited to announce our incredible summer partnership with the beautiful people at @duncansdogco Starting this July, every Friday is going to be an adventure day like no other.

Here’s what your dog can look forward to:

🐕 A scenic adventure walk down to Putney Common
🏊 A private, one-to-one 30-minute swimming session in a stunning 18x32ft heated pool
🌳 Time to decompress in Duncans’ private woodlands
🚐 Comfortable, air-conditioned transport to and from Cobham
❤️ Fully supervised by Canine First Aid trained staff every step of the way

This isn’t just about swimming—it’s about building confidence, creating joyful memories, and giving your dog an experience they’ll absolutely love. Every session is tailored to your dog’s pace, with zero pressure and plenty of positive reinforcement. Whether they’re a natural-born swimmer or just dipping their toes in for the first time, they’ll be supported by trained professionals who truly care.

Safety is our absolute priority. Every dog wears a professionally fitted buoyancy aid, receives one-to-one attention throughout their swim, and is never left unattended. The pool is maintained daily, professionally serviced twice a week, and kept at a comfortable temperature all year round.

Eligibility:
To ensure every dog has the best possible experience, we can only welcome dogs who have been with The Big Bowowski for a minimum of 6 months and are fit, healthy, and confident in a pack setting.

Spaces are extremely limited and will fill up fast! If you’d like your dog to join us for a Friday Splash adventure, drop us a DM or comment “SPLASH” below and we’ll send you all the details. 📩 #dogpool #dog #enrichment #dogwalk #dogstagram
