Super disappointed with the way that my outdoor season ended at nationals. Having the best 2 weeks of practice that I’ve ever had on top of my best lifting cycle that I’ve ever had. I just didn’t show up to compete when it mattered most. This one is going to sting for a while, but it’s the perfect time to learn and get back in the lab for next year because I’m coming for it all.

Although the season didn’t end the way I wanted, I still got to work and be around some of the best people and teammates around. I wouldn’t have traded a second in for anything else. Thank you all for pushing me to be better each and every day. 💜

To BT, I wouldn’t be in the position I’m in if it wasn’t for all the hard work and time you do behind the scenes. It was long overdue when you won the West Region Men’s Assistant Coach of the Year award‼️
Accomplishments I earned this year because of you:
1x All-American (First Male Thrower to do it for Indoor in School History)
3x All-Conference/Shot Put Conference Champion
CCC Men’s MVP at Conference
1 of 2 athletes to be top 8 in school history in 5 events (BT being the other)

Sans Puer!! 🤘🏼🐺💣

About this past weekend …
I wanna take some time and brag about this squad ! They have worked so hard for the past 10 months. They truly bought into the program and listened to everything I had to say.. I couldn’t be more thankful for every single one of these amazing student athletes. The mindset they carried into last weekend just shows what these athletes are all about and what is to come from now on !

Here’s some stats from CCC Championships and this season:

Men’s throws scored 66 points at the CCC meet. This is our second most points scored at the meet. Most points scored since the addition of the Canadian schools.

Women’s throws scored 59 points at the CCC meet. Again the second most points scored for our squad. Most points since the addition of the Canadian schools.

Men and women had their first Champions since 2022

Women won the Shot Put, Discus and Hammer for the third time in program history. First time since 2018.. first time being a different athlete in each event.

Totaling 4 Champions and 10 All Conference athletes, tying our best CCC performance in program history

4 new school records (@evan_anderson_8 x2 @the_only_helene x2 )

3 new freshman records (@reedmartin03)

Ending squad rankings:
Men’s
Shot Put
Ave. 15.75m #3 in the NAIA, #1 in the West
Our best average in program history
Discus
Ave.46.20m #8 in the NAIA, #1 in the West
Hammer
Ave. 50.37m #9 in the NAIA, 1st in the West
Best best average in program history
Women’s
Shot Put
Ave. 12.99m 5th in the NAIA, 1st in the West
Our best average in program history
Discus
Ave.40.50m 9th in the NAIA, 2nd in the West
Hammer
Ave. 47.06m 8th in the NAIA, 1st in the West

Again, thanks for trusting in me this season and truly embracing the Sans Puer mentality! Now onto Nationals ✈️🏅
