POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

For years, our wheat sailed away.

We’ve always been good at looking elsewhere for the best.

Then a chef from the South Coast asked a simple question: why not here?

Two ingredients. Australian durum wheat and water. Two years as Champion Dried Pasta 🏆

Maybe the best was never overseas.

Maybe it was growing in our own paddocks the whole time, waiting for us to notice.

Meet Jesse Hegg and @duropasta.

Proof that what we make here is worth celebrating.

🌾 Proudly Australian

Not all pasta needs a passport.

Duro Pasta is made in NSW from Australian-grown wheat, which means fewer food miles before it even reaches the plate.

We’ve worked with Duro on packaging photography and recipe content, which is really just a professional way of saying: we spent a lot of time making very good pasta look like very good pasta.

Local wheat. Local production. Dinner behaving beautifully.

Meet Jesse from @duropasta 🍝

During the pandemic, Chef Jesse began his concept focused on creating a sustainable and local product. After plenty of research and once the travel restrictions were lifted, Jesse went to Italy to gain hands-on experience, then sourced the best locally grown grain he could get his hand on. His grain comes from farmers in and around Bellata in northern NSW, where they practice sustainable farming.

Duro pasta is dried low and slow for no less than 24 hours to create a great flavour and preserve nutritional quality. Pop in store to try 💚

PSA: A few of our essential pre-order items are heading towards capacity 🧡

Consider this your friendly reminder to get your order in asap, as items will become unavailable once they’ve maxxed out (and you’ve only got until this Sunday before the online store shuts for December!).

We’ve also been adding our favourite staff recipes to the website. Swipe to see a sample, then head online to grab them all.

If you’ve got one to share with us, we’d love to hear!
