Club Hang Dusk Dances Park it Edition 💃🏾

In August we checked out @duskdances specifically their Park it edition. The event has been a long lasting one which takes place in beautiful Withrow Park in the east end of Toronto.

The Park It edition was in consultation with @disabilitycollective 👏🏾 and had attendant care on sight with our friends from @whimble_care 👏🏾 giving everyone the opportunity to witness beautiful dance numbers!

My highlight was participating in the dance workshop prior to the performances. @misscocomurray led the workshop and the Daisies dances their petals off 🌼

Until next year @duskdances 🫶🏾

If you want to join one of our next Club Hangs, send me a DM! Next one is November 14th. More info to come

Reminder Club Hangs are open to all!

“Anhelo” honours my roots and the grief of a home that time has irrevocably transformed. It reflects nostalgia, life’s cyclical passage, and a longing for what has been lost, while creating space for new identities and traditions.

As the 2026 summer comes to an end I want to thank everyone who made this project possible. This is only the beginning of a big dream I hope to bring to life and I couldn’t have done it without their support.

Thank you @sofidances @mimistylez @original.courage for your trust and guidance. To the entire production team @duskdances for your support and positivity.

To @edgardomorenomusic for getting my vision and creating the most beautiful music. (You can hear a piece of it in this reel)

To the dancers for your creative input and performance every night. @aryana_malekzadeh @yimscai @ale_herrer_a @y__vybe @prince_m0v0 @nonaflips @minazaghari @mikayla.br0wn @i.istheartist_ @linnea_.dacey @clarachemtov @hannahchwong and @christinalittbelch for stepping in.

Thank you Nina Milanovski for you honesty and vision as outside eye. To @casadedanza.ca and the National Ballet Open Space program @itsalyssamartin for your support from the beginning.

And finally, but not least, to my family and friends who were in the audience and in spirit.

💛Anhelo💛

how strange
to grow older
and become more yourself
while becoming less familiar
with who you were

longing for our past selves
reaching for who we once were
who our families once were
what home once was
knowing we can never return to the past

so we shed the layers
another version of ourselves left behind
until there is nothing left
but the person underneath
