More than a century after the Vanderbilt family helped shape Grand Central Terminal, Consuelo Vanderbilt Costin brought the family name back to the landmark with a decidedly contemporary purpose: fashion. On Tuesday, September 15th, 2026 during New York Fashion Week, Vanderbilt Costin staged an international fashion presentation in Vanderbilt Hall celebrating American innovation, fashion, heritage and technology as the nation marks its 250th anniversary. The evening also marked the first time a Vanderbilt has hosted a runway show inside the terminal her ancestors built.
Hosted by Mario Lopez @mariolopez and led by Mexican designer Lorena Saravia, @lorenasaravia whose work combines Mexican craftsmanship, feminine strength and modern luxury. Saravia was joined by Stockholm-based Dustin Glickman @dustinglickman of DSTN, @dstn__official known for the label’s “dark cowboy” aesthetic, and Paris couturier Nabil Hayari of Hayari Paris @nabil_hyr who creates Warhol-inspired fashion through a creative partnership with photographer Karen Bystedt, turning her famous “The Lost Warhols” archive into wearable art. @karenbystedt
