A glimpse into a core memory…
One day late posting this for National Coaches Day, but this one deserved to be shared.⚾️💜🥎

National Coaches Day isn’t just about me being a coach. It’s also about celebrating my husband, @dvandy7
Coach V. @chandlerhighbaseball

This is one of my favorite moments I captured during his baseball coaching career last year—not only because of the video, but because of what I was able to witness in that moment.

All three of our kids were there.

⚾️Our middle son was a senior on his team.
⚾️Our oldest was a senior in college, finishing up his collegiate baseball career.
🥎And our daughter had just come from her softball game.

And there stood my husband, surrounded by athletes and coaches that God had given him the opportunity to mentor, coach, challenge and pour into.

Being a coach’s wife is not easy by any means.

There are late nights. Long seasons. Missed dinners. Waiting for your husband to come home. And there are moments when you can feel left out or even forgotten.

But those moments are temporary.

As a believer in Christ, I have to remind myself that I am never alone.

When those feelings begin to peek through the cracks of the late nights and long seasons, I have to remember WHO I belong to.

Because the enemy would love nothing more than to make me question what God has called my husband to do—and what He has called me to do as his wife.

Being a coach’s wife is part of my calling, too.

Trust me… if it were easy, there would be a whole lot more coaches’ wives. 😂

But just like anything else in life, when you choose to do it with Christ and through Christ, He makes a way.

I’m incredibly proud of my husband.

Proud of the coach he is.
Proud of the mentor he continues to be.
Proud of the father he is.
And proud to stand beside him in this calling.

Happy belated National Coaches Day to my forever favorite coach. ⚾️💜🥎

As National Coaches Day comes to a close, I’m feeling beyond grateful for the coaches I’ve had throughout my life — especially my mom, who was my very first softball coach. 💜 @jlb1895

And I’m just as grateful for the coaches I still have today.

Because here’s the truth: every coach needs a coach.

Happy National Coaches Day to my husband too-who is also a head coach in baseball! @dvandy7

We never stop learning. We never stop growing. And we never stop needing people who challenge us, believe in us, and help us become better — both on and off the field.

To the coaches who have poured into me, challenged me, believed in me, and continue to do so… thank you.

Your impact is part of the coach I am today. 🥎

I love going to the GCU hitting clinics. Last night I was’t feeling my best but I can say I finished better than I started.

Bonus getting to see some of my teammates there as well as Mack and Sav!

Big thank you to Coach Hayes, Coach Hunter and Coach Jamie, staff and the GCU players for this opportunity.

Some hitting clips from the GCU hitting clinic.

Happy Sweet 16 to our beautiful girl, Marlee Jayde— our Mars! 💕✨

Sixteen years of loving you, watching you grow, and feeling so incredibly blessed that God chose us to be your parents. We could never put into words how proud we are of the young woman you are becoming.

What we love most about you isn’t just your talent, your determination, or everything you accomplish. It’s your heart. ❤️

You care deeply for the people around you. You have such a genuine passion for life, and you aren’t afraid to stand up for what you believe is right or for someone who needs a voice. Your kindness, strength, compassion, and courage are some of the things that make you so incredibly special.

As you step into this next chapter, we pray that you continue to put God first, trust His plan for your life, and never lose the heart that makes you you. Keep loving BIG. Keep standing up for others. Keep chasing your dreams. Keep being bold enough to be different and strong enough to stay true to who God created you to be.

Sixteen is such a beautiful beginning, and we cannot wait to see where this next chapter takes you. Always remember that no matter how old you get, you will forever be our girl. 🥹💕

We love you more than you’ll ever know, Mars. Happy Sweet 16! 🎂✨

Love,
Mom, Dad, Dj Evan & Madi 💜

And that’s not all of it🫣
Last night’s monsoon absolutely tore apart my husband’s baseball field at Chandler High School…

The damage to the bullpen area and the wind screens was crazy. The screens were ripped right off the pipes, fence was ripped off the poles and some of the much larger pipes were bent and nearly pulled completely out of the ground—almost causing the entire bullpen structure to collapse.

And here’s the part that has me scratching my head…

Growing up in Tornado Alley, this is the kind of damage I remember seeing after tornadoes came through.

I know Arizona gets some wild monsoon storms, but can we actually get small tornadoes in Phoenix🤔🌪️

So tell me…

What do YOU think this was?

Because I honestly don’t know—but whatever came through last night was no joke.
