Throwback to our very first Star Collective Intensive where we trained in modern, majorette, hip-hop, choreography class, and strength & conditioning + leaps/turns. Every step, every drop of sweat, and every moment of growth built the stars we are today.

“Great things never come from comfort zones.” ✨

Now it’s showtime. Who’s ready to see us light up the stage? 🌟

This past weekend, we focused on professional development — our first sit-down class ever, and it was so fun and interactive.

We dove into real topics that shape dancers as artists and professionals:
• Communication & commitment
• How to handle unprofessional dance moments
• Rehearsal starts before the studio
• Professional boundaries with friends

Thank you to our company members for showing up ready to learn, reflect, and grow — the industry needs dancers with this mindset.

“Success is built in the unseen work — long before the spotlight ever hits you.” 🌟

Our first Star Collective Intensive was nothing but growth, grit, and greatness. ⭐️

We pushed past comfort, learned from each other, and left the floor stronger than we came.

Huge thank you to all of our teachers and company members for pouring into this experience — your talent and energy made it unforgettable.

Thankyou to @justdancestudioatl for letting us use your space!⭐️

Stay tuned… next year we’re taking it even higher. ✨

This is how our rehearsals go—when we’re running dances, it’s loud, it’s love, and it’s energy. Cheering each other on, hyping each other up, and giving our all. This is one of our dress rehearsals for the show The Night A Star Was Born.

At Star Collective, every rehearsal—whether for a show or a concept video—is rooted in love, intention, and excellence. We encourage each other through every moment, and we challenge each other to perform like the audience is already watching. Even on the tough days—when frustration creeps in and we can’t agree on which arm it is—we stay committed to the process. That’s what we’re about here: growth, artistry, and showing up for one another.

Endless gratitude to our dancers, choreographers, and everyone who pours into the vision. You make the magic real.

Progress is a pillar of Star Collective — and we honor every step of the journey.
This piece, titled Superstar Bowl, began in 2024 and was inspired by Kendrick Lamar’s iconic Super Bowl performance. What you see in these clips is the beginning of an 11-minute piece — from the early stages of rehearsal to its full evolution in our 2025 show, The Night a Star Was Born.

We intentionally opened this piece with “Family Ties” to reflect who we are — one big family growing together through movement, music, and meaning. At Star Collective, we believe in building artistry through connection, collaboration, and trust. This piece embodies all of that.

Choreographed by Demeyah Foster and Jazmyn Wright in collaboration with our dancers, Superstar Bowl is a celebration of dedication, creativity, and collective growth.

Huge thank you to our dancers for showing up with full hearts and fearless energy. You brought this vision to life and made it something unforgettable.

The full piece will be uploaded soon to YouTube — stay tuned.
We don’t chase perfection — we honor progress. 🌟

Very proud to say that I produced my first show at 22 years old — The Night a Star Was Born — with nothing but a vision in my heart, a dream I refused to let go of, and a group of beautiful dancers who helped bring it to life. That night was more than just a performance. It was the beginning of something sacred: Star Collective/ @star.collective_

This journey hasn’t been easy. The road has been bumpy, filled with lessons, doubts, tears, and moments that tested everything in me. But somehow… the love, the art, the people, the moments — they always overpowered the struggles. And for that, I am endlessly thankful.

To my co-choreographer, Jazmyn Wright — thank you. Your belief in me, your creativity, your patience, and your heart have helped shape Star Collective into what it is today. You bring more than movement to the stage — you bring soul, story, and power. I’m so blessed to create with you. @jazmyn_.w

To everyone who stood beside me — from the bad times to the beautiful ones — thank you. Your presence has never gone unnoticed. Your love and support have carried me further than words could ever explain.

We started Season 1 with 8 dancers. Just 8. And here we are now in Season 2… with 30 stars shining so bright. I look at each and every one of them and see a fire, a story, a journey — and I’m reminded why I do this.

I love this craft. I love what dance can do for the soul. Creating a space for dancers to find their truest selves through this art form is my greatest honor. Star Collective is not just a group — it’s a home for passion, expression, vulnerability, and strength. It’s a place to be seen.

I will continue to grow. I will continue to learn. And I promise to keep pouring my heart into this collective with everything I have.

This is just the beginning.

To be continued… Season 3 is on the way!!

With all my love,
Demeyah⭐️❤️
