The Video Game SFX and Eminem Flow Hidden in Emiway's “Freeverse Feast” 🤯 theory

Welcome to episode 120 of #TuneTwinz by #aardotbeatz!

The hip-hop track “Freeverse FEAST (Daawat)” by Emiway Bantai, released as a single on June 5, 2019, relies on a famous video game sample and an iconic rap interpolation.

The production explicitly samples the “Perfect” announcer sound effect from the classic arcade game Street Fighter II, originally released in 1991 with sound design by Yoko Shimomura and Isao Abe. Furthermore, Emiway interpolates the exact rhythm and cadence of the "supersonic speed" verse from Eminem's “Rap God.” The Eminem track was released on October 15, 2013, as the third single from his eighth studio album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2.

#FunFact: Eminem's “Rap God” officially entered the Guinness World Records for being the hit single containing the most words, packing an incredible 1,560 words into the six-minute song.
