THE SESSION - 002 | ETHEREAL SHADOWS

Is photography capable of capturing the essence of a dream?

Janet Kaubisch (@janetkaubisch) constructs a hauntingly beautiful universe filled with gothic architecture, misty forests, and poetic light.

Her images feel less like snapshots and more like paintings from a romantic, bygone era.

In this Session, we explore her mastery over ethereal light, moody color grading, and the delicate balance between nature and human presence in the shadows.

Welcome to The Session 002.

Two photographers, different countries, the same fascination with the forgotten.

This collaboration brings together our favourite frames from abandoned locations across Europe, from the haunting remains of Rauceby Mental Asylum in the UK, to the forgotten spaces of Liège, Von Wünsdorf Bunker and also Berlin.

8 images, 2 photographers, 1 shared vision, a collaboration between Janet Kaubisch & Simon Robson.
