I have to thank Don Napoleon @dir_napoleon and the DC Films office @dcfilmoffice in coordination with Washington Metropolitan Police Dept. @dcpolicedept for making this happen ...along with my awesome crew and cast ... #filmmaker #multihyphenate #dmvfilmmaker #lgbtqfilmmaker hollywood

Erik (Aleph) Humphrey, Founder and Editor of Quiet on The Set Magazine, shares exciting news as longtime friend Dwayne Vernon steps into the cinematic arena with his first film, alongside talented director Kareem Ferguson who appeared in DL Chronicles and directed a short film “Gay Baby.”
This powerful project is backed by executive producers Leslie Jones (Saturday Night Live) and David McMillan, writer and producer of Netflix hits The Menendez Murders and Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.
Titled Counter Punch, this poetic thriller follows C’Zar, a boxer whose career is on the rise until a betrayal from within his ininer circle threatens to expose his sexuality, turning his biggest fight into one that happens far beyond the ring.
With raw emotion, gripping tension, and a story that hits hard, “Counter Punch” promises to be a knockout both in message and in artistry.

1 of 100 Directors accepted into the next round of the #TPSDreamCollective 🙌🏿
#tylerperrystudiosdreamcollective
I
Thank you @tylerperry and @tylerperrystudios - what I have learned in just the past week #mindblown #NEXTLEVEL

Been digesting this opportunity that was realized a few days back - I have applied to so many creative labs/incubators and been rejected by like all of them 🤪(close just not close enough) …

To have folks/industry professionals outside of my Tribe see Value in my Craft - feels kinda cool and I am pinching myself 🤩

We all just need one YES!!!

So as I go on to the next round of this fellowship - I will excitedly receive all the positive vibes and encouragement from y’all in my village 🫶🏿🎥 🎭
