LIU NPHC Barbershop Talks brought the community together for an open discussion on mental health, everyday life, and relationships—right where conversations feel most natural. With free shape-ups, food, and a space built on trust, brothers showed up not just for a cut, but to check in with themselves and each other. So Thank You to everyone who came to participate in these discussions.

This wasn’t just an event it was a reminder that vulnerability is strength and community takes care.

Today is the 20 year anniversary of the day my ACE, our Brother Charles Alvin Pringle Jr., ESQ, gained his wings. Charles was a best friend to many. His time on earth literally touched thousands and inspired even more. In just 32 years of life, he had the uncanny ability to hug you with his words, calm you with the look in his eyes, and empower you all while knowing that he was right beside you.

Alvin, as my wife and many others referred to him, was a shining star that still affects the actions of those who knew him. “How would Charles handle this situation?” is what I have asked myself thousands of times. He remains a shining example. A man that used his time to promote positivity, help others no matter where he was in life, and fight until the end, while offering the people around him comfort.

While my tears made me unable to speak 20 years ago at your funeral (Thank you, Wifey, for stepping in for me) I have Never and will Never stop YELLING TO THE WORLD daily about the Brother, Supporter, Friend, AlphaMan, and Example you were. “Your suite at the American Cancer Society’s NYC Hope Lodge stays full and continues to provide at no charge comfort to families Fighting Cancer.” RIP my ACE! We LOVE You

8 years… and a lifetime to go 🤙🏾🏆

Happy Founders Day to the Men of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. 📚✍🏾

119 years of legacy, and I’m grateful to add my chapter to that story.

Since Spring ’17, Alpha has been more than a fraternity to me. It’s been a source of brotherhood, grounding, and growth in moments when I needed it most. I’ve learned what it means to lead with purpose, to serve without looking for credit, and to stand alongside men who push me to rise higher.

From community service projects to campus initiatives, from showing up for our neighborhoods to showing up for each other - every experience has shaped me into a better man. The fellowship, the challenges, the accountability, the jokes that never end, the support that never wavers… it all matters. It all stays with you.

What I love most is knowing that no matter where life takes us - careers, cities, families, new chapters - the bond remains the same. There’s something powerful about that. Something you can’t explain unless you lived it.

So today, we celebrating 119 years of trailblazing Black excellence, leadership, and service. And I’m celebrating the brothers who continue to carry that torch with integrity and pride.

Much love to my bros everywhere — past, present, and future. Thank you for shaping me, inspiring me, and walking this journey of manly deeds, scholarship, and love for all mankind. ✊🏾🔥
