Today marks 12 years of sobriety and counting! 12 years ago I had a deep conversation with my daughter the day before Thanksgiving, and have since started a new chapter in my life after seeing how difficult it was for her to watch me struggle with my addiction. I promised and assured her that she would NEVER have to see me like that again. She got out of my truck smiling, trusting I was not going to disappoint her. That drive home was a revelation and I felt a new sense of purpose. Once at home I discarded anything and everything that represented my old self. The very next day being Thanksgiving, my new chapter had just begun. I went to her grandparents house to enjoy the festivities, and told her that I “cleaned my house”, by the look on her face she knows I would keep my promise. To this day I have taken extreme pride in clean living and re-prioritized everyday fitness.

Now, at the healthiest I’ve ever been, I’m very thankful for my journey with the best support system a man can ask for in my daughter @dyanigilmore, the love of my life @themetalminnie, and all of my closest friends (you know who you are). Thank you for always believing in me so I can continue to be the person I am now.

Happy Thanksgiving!/ Plantsgiving #plantsgiving #thanksgiving #sobriety #grateful

Chandler Kinney, who I’ve know since she a year old, star of the Zombie movies, and on top of the leader board on DWTS, was SO appreciative of the dance videos my hip hop and contemporary dance grps performed for her on Disney night (Zombies), which I posted previously❤️

Celebrating 11 years of sobriety. The best decision I’ve ever made. Fitness has been a huge part of my recovery journey. So grateful for @dyanigilmore and @nicolerosesings for keeping me on point. #fitness #soberliving #grateful #11yearsandcounting #nevergiveup
