Some of the pumpkins I did for @jackslanterntrail were from my original art but I didn't mind sharing fir a great cause:The Parks! Even if they partnered with Reuters to sell licensed use. As it looks way different on a pumpkin in orange and black so I do not mind!

I am going to recreate a few as I want to carve them and donate to a few places like #Dreamswithwingsjackolanternstroll #dreamswithwings is a local organization supporting individuals with things like autism. I have AUHDH so I gots a #touchofthetism 🤪 and love they help!

My coffee hadn't set in, but I made a mini #pumpkin to match a commissioned piece. Since its #halloween !

Well, its an #italian scene just up to the midtones, in the #ugly phase!

I will get better at separating my dogs, pumpkins and art but they are my passions!

This piece, as every one I've done for her, maybe not my "fantasy or imaginative realism" but I have learned something. I love texture and using different pallet knives, I love it. Plus, the thick gels and impasto mediums! Fun!

❤️ 💙 💜 💖 💗 💘 say yes to new things!

There are a few pumpkins that were illustrated by me, using my original art. This one "zoo babies" and the next one "Maned Wolf Lady and the Tramp" were going to be worked into the next round but the book wasn't made yet. One, there were not many pumpkins left, and I hope they weren't thrown out as to rot. I haven't seen them carved! But I haven't seen my Zebras either and they were early on. 🐎

I do not feel bad recreating them for myself, like with my version of Elvira 2.0, as they were from my original prints! But I just found these in my phone from sharing with Eric so I wanted to share. Im going go go get some pumpkins at @crawfordfarmspumpkins here soon. 🎃 🎃 🎃 🎃 🎃

I kind of forgot about them....as one or both were from a day that everyone got an email to stay home til 4pm except me.
So if course since I was always there at 8am, it was just me and Robert. So he said I could work on these as we were carving the next day. I think this was the day after opening. ANYHOO...I know one was worked on the day after opening as they were eating Robert alive about something..."Zachs Girlfriend".

I am a talker, an artist who expresses, so I think I've gotten it all out...sorry about #pumpkindrama I think as those were high drama/stress days I just plumb forgot these! I cant believe it! Doy.. SMH 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

Zoo babies is an homage under "Safari" to all the new babies at the #louisvillezoo like the #3tigerbabies #babygiraffe named Sylvia, the #baby monkey and the next reel an homage to our zoo bringing down a female manedwolf for the male! So it was under "Love". ❤️ 💙 💜 💖 💗 💘 ❤️ 💙 💜 💖 we had the same themes each "round" and as pumpkins rotted, they were pulled out and replaced constantly. 😆

Anyhoo, I loved this in my original print so much I didn't mind sharing, like with my "Queens if the Derby, original art! It is for the @parksalliancelou after all. I am an artist that has enjoyed our parks in Kentucky over 4 decades! And the Louisville Zoo! And the Kentucky Derby!

Loved that people loved it so much! But it got so much attention, well there IS enough room for all artists to GLOW on the trail....
We all should support and uplift!

I am touching up my "Elvira" that I did use a reference on, and several more for the background to make it original. She had 3 main dresses.
I loved this character!

I finished her a week or so ago but when I was asked by my "higher up" if I "made her Chubby to represent curvy girls" ? I asked a few people if she looked fat....as that was not my intention. 🐄 🐮 🐄 🐮 🐖

As I wouldn't be on GLP shots atm if I wanted to represent a whole culture.

No. But since I laughed it off, and everyone knew it was my Elvira. It is a shame what they did to it. See next post.... 👻 👽

I love seeing my pumpkins on others social media! I don't know why they don't have a page of pumpkins as these will be gone soon. The lifespan once carved is 2 to 5 days!
Feel free to tag me if you see the ones I worked on, on the trail...@jackslanterntrail that is!

#louisvilleicon #jenniferlawrence in h er #HungerGames role. I loved the movies!
I had picked this huge pumpkin on Sat. As I was given the go ahead to do #johnnydepp standing majestically with wind blowing at the helm of the Black Pearl. Flags, rum barrels, beads in the wind with I large Kracken tentacles wrapping the pumpkin!!

But it was changed to this which is good fun too!!
I can't wait to see it lit up on the Trail! Pumpkin 🎃 🎃 🎃 🎃 Trail that is!

Before the trail, the pumpkin 🎃 is checked for any needed touch ups.
I was lucky that such a talented artist was there to train me. The pumpkin he did for @terrymeiners of #whas and the three baby girl tigers for the @louisvillezooofficial were stunning!

Just the #pumpkincarving life I guess!

How are #showcasepumpkins created like the ones at events like @jackslanterntrail at #iroqouispark ? 🎃 🎃
We start with a few ideas. For myself, like if a popular personality or a #louisvilleicon is wanted, we gather references as people like to be able to identify their favorite movie stars or musicians!
Children love to pick out their favorite cartoons or movie superheroes! So in those cases, we strive to produce a good likeness. 🧟‍♂️ 🧟‍♀️ 🧟‍♂️ 🧟‍♂️ 🧟‍♂️ 🧟‍♂️ 🧟‍♂️ 🧟‍♂️

I like movie stills, or favorite scenes of movies.
In this illustration, its an iconic video. I did rearrange the zombies and leave more space between the dancers. I re sized a few to give a good rhythm in the eye movement, instead if say a block of bodies all the same height. Too much movement really fatigues the eye, so I like to put less busy areas to rest the eye.
