Welp.. JuLy and AuGuSt dump comin at ya. So many big huge life things happened - my lil BBG turned 18 and we celebrated and sent her off to college. We tuned in daily to the Alaska Team updates as the Aspen Acres Fire raged through our beloved Greenhorn Mountain, my moms cabin narrowly escaped, and she was finally able to return home from evacuation. We burned a yahrzeit candle commemorating the year anniversary of my Dads passing into the next life, had a few good Chicago beach days, and got a special tattoo with Sara and our girls forever bonding our shared mother and sisterhood. Dale and I visited Banff while nearby Max summited desolation peak in the North Cascades. Max totaled the Audi in a rite of passage we were lucky to survive, I started a new job with the state board of education, and Max and Dale shared a first day of school together and bonded over lots of grilled meat. We celebrated the weddings of good friends, Dale sold the house and officially moved in, and Peter and I went back to Ft. Collins for some dirtbag fun with the bike homies. It’s been a whirlwind and I’m trying to savor the little moments amongst big feelings and milestones. It’s the good love of friends that keeps me going, so grateful for my mighty community near and far. Oh, I’m also a blonde now. Lol. I love you all.
