What a great night at the Sacramento Optimist All Star baseball game last night at Sac City College. Very cool to see all the young men selected and representing their respective high schools from both the large and small school sides. Dylan (dylan_bus08) played all nine innings in the field at 3B and 1B, went 2 for 4 at the plate with a single and double and took home the Most Outstanding Player award for the Large School South team. Awesome to watch him play alongside Jasen Womack (jasen.womack) one last time as well as many other players from former travel organizations and even several that he will be moving on with to ARC!

I still can’t believe this hug finally came. A hug that was so far down the road from him and I in the front yard at 3 or 4 hitting a plastic ball with a plastic bat. A hug that slowly, but continually got closer and closer. Through the ups and downs, successes and failures during a high school career, he continued moving forward. This hug…this hug told me everything about him and his love for this sport that I had already known. All the love and future success to you Dylan @dylan_bus08. Good things are coming.
