One of the ways to make money from music is to sell your music as digital downloads on platforms like iTunes, Amazon, or Bandcamp. Here are some steps on how you can do that:

.First, you need to have your music recorded, mixed, mastered, and ready for distribution. You also need to have your artwork, metadata, and ISRC codes for your tracks.

.Second, you need to choose a digital music distributor that can deliver your music to the platforms you want to sell on. A digital music distributor is a service that acts as a middleman between you and the online stores, and handles the uploading, licensing, and royalty payments for your music. Some examples of digital music distributors are CD Baby, Ditto Music, iMusician, and TuneCore.

.Third, you need to sign up for an account with your chosen distributor, and follow their instructions on how to upload your music, artwork, metadata, and payment information. You also need to select the platforms you want to sell on, and set your prices and release dates. Depending on the distributor, you may have to pay a fee per album, per track, or per year, or you may get to keep 100% of your royalties.

.Fourth, you need to wait for your distributor to process and deliver your music to the platforms you selected. This may take from a few days to a few weeks, depending on the platform and the distributor. Once your music is live, you can start promoting it to your fans and potential customers.

.Fifth, you need to monitor your sales and streams, and collect your royalties from your distributor. Your distributor will provide you with reports and analytics on how your music is performing on the platforms, and pay you your earnings according to their payment schedule and terms. You can also use platforms like SoundScan or Chartmetric to track your chart positions and popularity.
