Chapter 3: same setting, different plot ✨

I’d be lying if I said that this year has been easy, but I’d also be lying if I said that it wasn’t worth it in the end. After winning the SEC Championship, I kept telling myself, “we’re not done yet”, and I think that we showed that at Nationals. When it came to championship day, I was so excited for the horse I drew and going into the arena, I felt so prepared. Dropping my rein half way through my pattern was something that I never even imagined happening. At that very moment my heart sunk, not just for myself but for everyone depending on me to go do my best. Although every part of me was guilty for zeroing when it counted the most, I couldn’t have been more grateful for my teammates who gave me nothing but support and love. After the meet was over, I not only was surrounded by our staff and team but my parents, other Aggie parents, and even others from different teams, who reminded me that things happen and that what our team has done all year is something to be proud of. So even though it definitely sucked not getting to finish my pattern, it was a great reminder to look on the bright side and that there’s a way bigger picture being painted. To have several people come up to me or our squad just to say how much they see the Lord working through us by the way we go about things and just blasting worship music at all times means more to me than anything else. This team, this year has been nothing short of incredible and I will never forget it. Especially since now I have a permanent reminder on my ankle 😉. To every person who made this year special, there aren’t enough thank you’s to give. To every horse who carried me this year, thanks for making my dreams come true every step of the way. And a special shout out to a special pony. Shine, I hope we get our redo one day next year. 🫶🏼

Glad to have one more trip around the sun with Aggie Equestrian and can’t wait for what’s in store for Senior year🤍

The final moment. A hallelujah.
I am still in awe of how God has carried me through this season. To end my college career on horses like Shine, Tuni and Player is one of the coolest experiences I’ll ever have. I’m struggling to come up with the words to express how thankful I am for Texas A&M and everything that comes with the amazing place it is. I am grateful to say I will leave A&M with my Bachelor’s in Psychology and Master’s in Educational Psychology, oh and a SEC Championship! But, most importantly, I’ve met the most special people that I get to call my friends. There will never be enough thank you’s. It all started with a little girl who loved horses and ends with a girl who still, just loves horses. I hope to see the show pen again someday but for now,
