Is there even any point in working at the @gladiators.experience as a fan if you don’t get to meet your heroes? 💪🏼📸 I was always super professional while working, but you gotta take whatever perks of the job you can get! 😜

Finally got to meet @jetloves too after all these years, who was always my absolute favourite from the original series! 🙌🏼 #DreamComeTrue

Big shoutout to the lovely photo girlies who properly looked after me & sorted me out with some wonderful treasured souvenirs! 🫶🏼 (check out the final slides to see my very own Stats Cards #NoShame)

Roll on the Live Tour…

Great North Run weekend 🏃‍♂️

What a weekend in the North East! From getting the weekend started at Town Moor Parkrun, there was plenty going on before race day.

Then came the main event — the Great North Run half marathon, finishing in 1:45:08.

A brilliant course, great atmosphere and fantastic support along the way.

And a quick stop at the Angel of the North on the way home to round things off.

Well done to everyone involved in putting on a great weekend.

Now it’s onto the Warrington Half Marathon, pacing 1:50 on Sunday.

I had the pleasure of meeting Sheli McCoy
(Aka, Sabre from Gladiators) today at Truckfest in Somerset 😊 I even had the cheek to pass on a business card 🫢 from 1 powerful woman to another 🤷‍♀️ why not? 😉

She believes in leaving the world a better place than she found it, helping people through fitness and inspiring people to believe they are stronger than they know. And so do I 🙌💪❤️‍🔥

She was so warm and friendly, even when my son gave her a note for Dynamite... and told her Dynamite was actually his favourite 👀🫣😅

☀️ What a summer! Here are 20 photos/ videos to reflect the 14 heatwaves! ☀️

Meeting the Gladiators (still dining out on Sonny going viral!)

Went on a walk in the hills. No idea why I wore a shirt.

Our ridiculously fertile plum tree

My grandma used to make damson jam. So I did. I’m turning into my grandma. And what?

Only @huxleyjamesowen could have a festival in his name. Huxfest was sensational.

My first and probably last DJ set.

When you drop ‘Golden’ at a party with kids. 🎤

@jimmy1owen somehow convinced an ice cream van to rock up to his house for the party. A crowd pleasing move.

Delighted. 🍦

My Godson!

Betsy singing Shake It Off!

Gingerbread making. Never the first thing to go to but WHAT ELSE DO PEOPLE END UP DOING AFTER WEEKS OF CHILDCARE?!!

If you ever get to go to @steanyowen and @jimmy1owen’s house, you get this level of food. I suggest making friends with them. #ShortribsToo

Met the brilliant Kitman. Just about remembered how to entertain a baby and stop them from crying long enough for his dad to eat lunch.

Lauren meeting my innocent men.

(Damon) St Albans

Adore someone like Betsy adores a baby

Got a nice picture and swiftly retreated to the pub.

Teaching Sonny how to ride a bike is nearly as big an achievement for me as my degree.

Hey everyone! I’ve had quite a time on Saturday. I went to the gladiators experience in Birmingham! Yes, my fellow followers. I’ve been to the NEC in Birmingham for the gladiators experience. There, I took on some of the events such as the wall, duel, hang tough, unleash, and of course the legendary eliminator! (I excelled on duel, but I don’t think I was too good on hang tough though…) had when our session ended, we got to have a photo op with a couple of gladiators ourselves. Yes, folks, I got a photo shoot with diamond and bionic. And let me tell you, it was quite something. I was like: “ hiya diamond!” And “heyo bionic!” And then the person who was behind the camera took the photo.
(also, I wasn’t really expecting diamond and bionics are being their regular clothes. I was expecting them to be more of those gladiators like I saw on TV. But I think it was still totally worth it. And after the photo op, we both went home. Btw, have any of you been to the gladiators experience yet? Also, if you were on gladiators, which gladiator would you most like to duel against? If I went up against the gladiators, I’d go up against cyclone because she’s the first Irish gladiator ever.

Cracking day with the little fella @gladiators.experience yesterday at the NEC.

Mooch around the vault at the gladiators archive and memorabilia, then a meet and greet with @dynamite_thegladiator and @nitro_thegladiator who were both brilliant.

Then onto the games. Stuck to the family stuff due to gammy thumb, but good fun and the little man had an awesome time.

Good day out.

Had the BEST time at The @gladiators.experience at Birmingham NEC today!

I went along with two friends and, thanks to the very sensible rule that contenders aren’t allowed their phones in the Arena, I have absolutely no photographic evidence of that part of the day. 😂 But we had an absolute blast getting stuck into the games!

I did, however, take plenty of photos in The Vault, which has an amazing collection of props, costumes and memorabilia from across the history of Gladiators. Very surreal to see one of the Hammer props I worked on for the show sitting behind glass as part of the exhibition!

I also finally got to meet @hammerthegladiator, after spending the last few years making his Hammers, and got to see @dynamite_thegladiator again after recently catching her brilliant debut show, First Rodeo. 🧨🤠

I was actually meant to meet them earlier in the day, but a combination of delayed and cancelled trains meant I completely missed my slot. The final meet and greet of the day then fell right in the middle of our Arena session, and by the time I’d finished up on Duel and wrestled my way out of all the safety gear, I’d managed to miss them AGAIN.

But before they left, @tomjackwilson1 and @emillysteel actually came and found me so we could get a photo together. I genuinely can’t thank them enough for going out of their way to do that. It was such a lovely thing to do and utterly made my day.

Plus, Tom suggested we get this very cool photo of Hammer, with his Hammer, and me… the “Hammer Creator”, as he dubbed me. 🔨

Just a brilliant day out all round. A huge thank you as well to all the lovely staff at the Experience, who were absolutely fantastic throughout. ♥️♥️
