And just like that, we’ve reached the final dance of this summer’s Cubo Grooves season. ✨

For the final chapter, we’re going somewhere warm. 🌞 Our special guest from Cuba is bringing a bag full of Latin rhythms, tropical vibrations and grooves from around the world. 🌍🪩

@camilayeokun is a truly special artist, who has performed on some of the finest stages around the world. With a unique sensibility, she finds her most intimate expression on the dancefloor and through the airwaves hosting INSOLAR, her monthly radio show on NTS. This narrative-driven approach, a deeply personal form of sonic storytelling, shapes her work.

A colourful, warm and joyful ending to another beautiful Cubo Grooves summer. ❤️

This Saturday, a name that needs no introduction, @alex__kassian joins us at Cubo Grooves. ✨

Alex Kassian is a Kyoto-born, Berlin based producer, DJ, and artist whose work moves seamlessly between club music, live performance, and cinematic composition. His sound is expansive and melodic, with a strong sense of atmosphere and movement rooted in his early years composing for contemporary dance and theatre. That foundation continues to inform his approach today, whether creating music for the dancefloor, scoring for film, or exploring guitar-based compositions.

As a solo artist, Kassian has released on labels including Love On The Rocks, Uto-pia, Test Pressing, and Pinchy & Friends. His breakout track Leave Your Life became a widely celebrated underground anthem, while his reimaginings of classics such as E2-E4 and Tangerine Dream’s iconic Love On A Real Train from Risky
Business have demonstrated his ability to balance innovation with deep respect for musical history. With each release, Kassian pushes a sound that’s warm, melodic, and undeniably personal. This same sensibility carries through to his DJ sets and live performances, where precision and spontaneity converge. His selections are known for their depth and emotional range, equally suited to moments of collective energy or quiet reflection.

Whether solo or collaboratively with Hiroaki Oba as Opal Sunn, Kassian’s work reflects a constant curiosity about how sound can shift mood and perspective. Rather than aiming for a single style or outcome, he treats each project as a chance to explore how music can create space, shape energy, and leave a lasting impact on the listener. Whether behind the decks, in the studio, or on stage, Kassian continues to refine a sound that resonates on dance floors and beyond.

We are more than excited for this one!

This Friday, @gentofunk will be behind the decks for a special edition of the series. 🪩

He’s taking us on an all night long journey through the frequency behind Cubo Grooves - a place where disco, boogie, balearic, house, cosmic grooves and unexpected turns can all find their way onto the same dancefloor.

See you on the beach ✨💙

We’re sooo happy that Suze Ijó is joining us at Cubo Grooves on Saturday for a special 4-hour set on the beach, and we really can’t wait. ✨🪩

Immersed in music from a young age, Rotterdam native Suze Ijó naturally found her way into the world of song and dance. Her passion for collecting records and dancing deepened after becoming a member of First Floor - a community space where music lovers gathered to play, listen, exchange ideas, and host events inspired by David Mancuso’s legendary Loft parties.

That spirit runs through her DJ sets. From infectious Chicago house to uplifting ‘80s gems and warm, soulful grooves, her selections recall a time when dancefloors became spaces for freedom, self-expression, and connection.
For Suze “House" is a feeling, an ambience, not just a BPM range. Her approach transforms club nights into collective, bodily, and spiritual experiences crafted by everyone involved.

Now a globe-trotting DJ, @suze.ijo performs at renowned clubs and festivals across Europe, Asia and North America. Beyond the dancefloor, she shares her musical world through NTS, The Lot Radio, and the Dekmantel Podcast series.

Curator of the series @gentofunk will open the night with a warm selection before Suze takes us on a deep journey.

See you on the dancefloor! 🦑💙
