Was für eine magische und transformierende Reise.

Ich habe mehr gesehen, mehr gelernt und mehr geweint, als ich je erwartet hätte. Und ich durfte so vielen wundervollen Menschen begegnen und Erfahrungen sammeln, die mich mein Leben lang begleiten werden.

Und wieder diese Erkenntnis: Das Leben ergibt oft erst rückblickend Sinn. Umso wichtiger ist es, uns selbst wirklich kennenzulernen – denn je klarer wir in uns selbst verankert sind, desto leichter fällt es uns, den Veränderungen des Lebens zu begegnen, ohne uns darin zu verlieren.

Dankbar. Erfüllt. Und mit einem offenen Herzen für alles, was noch kommen darf. 🤍

i’m a yoga teacher!

8 years ago, i stepped into a yoga class for the first time.

people would ask if i wanted to become a yoga teacher.

my answer was always the same.

“no. i don’t want to turn my hobby into my job.”

i couldn’t have been more wrong.

because i eventually realized my hobby was never yoga.

my hobby is practicing asanas. i love playing with transitions, arm balances, and inversions. it’s where i reconnect with the little girl who wasn’t afraid to fall, who believed she could do anything.

yoga is something much bigger, way bigger than a job or a hobby.

on march 3rd, 2025, after years of working on cruise ships, i found myself with yet another terrible boss.

she was the karma.

she became the final push i needed to leave a job that no longer aligned with the life i wanted.

that day, i made myself a promise.

i’m doing a yoga teacher training.

i was broke, so i moved to amsterdam for a year to save enough money to turn that goal into reality.

what i didn’t expect was that amsterdam would change me far beyond that.

i had incredible managers who reminded me what it feels like to be valued. i met amazing people. i expanded my perspective, questioned old beliefs, became more conscious, deepened the relationship i already had with myself, and found a sense of freedom i had never experienced before.

that freedom allowed me to finally become the traveler i had always wanted to be.

today, after completing my 200-hour training in bali, i still don’t know exactly what this path will look like.

but i do know this.

this course gave me so much more than a certificate.

it taught me that the things that truly matter require discipline, presence, love, and trust.

because yoga isn’t just something i practice.

it’s how i choose to walk through life 🤍

Hard to believe it’s over. These past four years went by in the blink of an eye. The best part of it all was never the parties or the places, it was the people who made these years so special.

“This is experience will help me in my career by giving me a broader, global perspective of how businesses operate. As someone going into finance, it was important for me to have formed an international perspective of how businesses operate across the world,” said Erin Brandwein, a finance major who participated in the Fisher College of Business Honors Cohort Global Lab program in Brazil over winter break 🇧🇷

Through visits to companies and with Buckeye alumni in country, students learn about international business while experiencing Brazilian culture.

“This program made me realize that living and working abroad is a real possibility for me. Before going to Brazil I assumed I would always live and work in the United States, but the experience broadened my perspective,” reflected Lee Rwema, a finance major who studied abroad during winter break on the Fisher College of Business Honors Cohort Global Lab program in Brazil 🇧🇷
