Chef Gibbs hosted a beautiful 7-course dinner alongside 7 incredible chefs at The Wheatbaker, and I was privileged to experience it thanks to my sponsors for the night - @dinesurfapp ! 🥂

I experienced fine dining in Nigeria for the very first time and as someone who is a food enthusiast to the core besides being a chef, I was genuinely so excited to sit down and experience these 7 courses 🥰

Watching Nigerian cuisine be interpreted and elevated in such different, creative ways was such a treat — from the presentation, to the service, to the new Nigerian flavours I was introduced to. Hats off to the chefs! 👏🏽🇳🇬 Amazing work.

And because I’m a chef, y’all already know I came with my notes 😂 My ratings for each course come from the most respectful, honest, but appropriately critical place. I’m always going to celebrate great food while still giving my genuine perspective.

Part 2 will take you through courses 4–6 (and yes, the desserts were my fave… duh 😭).

I’ll also be sharing the drinks edition because BABY… those drinks were DELICIOUS! 🍸

Who says garri can only be enjoyed one way? 😉

We decided to reinvent it, and now every crunchy bite of Eba Chips is giving a whole new vibe! ❤️💛

Taste garri like never before.

Some competitions give you trophies. Others give you people you'll never forget.

I didn't just go to compete at NFS 2026—I met some amazing people along the way, and Chef Eke was definitely one of them, he's the second runner up.

A talented chef with incredible creativity, humility, and passion for the craft. It was a pleasure connecting with you, sharing conversations, and celebrating our love for food together.

The culinary industry is even more exciting because of people like you. Wishing you continued growth and success. Looking forward to seeing all the amazing things you'll create.

Here's to great food, meaningful connections, and the beautiful community we're building. 👨🏽‍🍳✨
