Not everyone cares to get faster, some people enjoy the ride as is. I love challenging the pace, therefore I choose to do some training outside of the group rides. As a mom the most efficient way to get it done is on my own when the window opens. At one point I needed these solo training rides, then I needed training rides to involve at least one other friend. We’re back to work, solo or with the trailer. Rollers, repeats, or beach path sprints. Which will I pick next 🫡

With the amount of times I’ve lined up to race you’d think I would have a handful of podiums and trophies to show, but all I’ve got is a full heart and these photos. ❤️‍🔥
As long as I am capable I will line up in support of the ladies, I don’t care if I’m dropped and lapped, the reward is found in taking up space and saying to myself I belong here, “I am good enough” even without winning 🫶🏼
Thank you @engine_11 @e11wmn for the support of the years, and shout out to all the homegirls I’ve met through racing / riding bikes because you deserve a huge field to battle it out with and I hope to inspire all the baddies with bikes to line up and take up space regardless of the result 🌼

This was worth all the effort!
My son got to play and I got my workout
Being a stay at home mom means I have to figure out how to fill both of our cups
I’ve unlocked a few activities like bouldering as a family & riding to the beach/playground with the trailer.
I’m adding this one to the list because it was close to home, and both of us were equally worked! 🙂‍↕️
Not to mention it required zero money - just gas & the truck 😅

Recovery spin on the rollers after yesterdays @ratpackcycling 🐀
It was so much fun to line up at Heritage again, this place holds a special place in my fixie heart 💞
I have a lot to work on because I was once again dropped and lapped 😮‍💨
It wasn’t easy to keep riding the course even after being so slow compared to the bad ass women’s field that zoomed by me 🙂‍↔️
But I held my pace between 18-20 and with more roller sessions on the horizon 🚲
Its only up from here 😅
Here’s to keeping hope alive though am I right 🤣🙌🏽
Racing has never really been about winning for me but maybe one day I’ll get my podium 😝
Either way yall my Leo energy tells me to show up and slay the bike race like it’s a fashion show 💃
