And that’s a wrap! 🎉⚓️ NAPS Class of 2026! After 10 months of dedication, grit, and growth, @xxavierssanchez has completed NAPS and earned his appointment to the United States Naval Academy! 💙💛⚓️ NAPS challenged him academically, physically, and emotionally, long days of classes, military obligations, football training & practice, and he rose to the challenge. We are beyond proud of the man he’s become.

We were so sad we couldn’t be there, as it was the same day as your brother’s graduation at Ole Miss. But I’m deeply grateful to all the amazing moms who watched over you, fed you, loved on you, and kept me updated with pics. This is truly our family for years to come 🤗

Next stop: USNA Class of 2030! 🇺🇸⚓️

I can’t wait to celebrate Mother’s Day and have you here in Oxford to celebrate your accomplishments and your brother’s. Couldn’t be a better Mother’s Day gift!

Part 2: A weekend to remember! The Naval Academy Preparatory School football team finished its season 7-0, closing it out with a hard-fought victory against Army Prep at West Point. They left everything on the field, and we’re so grateful we made it to the final game. Go Navy, Beat Army, and that’s precisely what they did! USNA next year and giving it everything we’ve got again. Let’s do it 💙💛⚓️🏈

After the game, we wrapped up our visit in NYC with a wonderful dinner with our family friends, the Arias, @caridad_arias11. Dominican food in Yonkers definitely did not disappoint, and the little time we had was with the best 🤗

Then we drove up to Rhode Island to spend the rest of the weekend with Xavier, with dinners, movies, quality family time, and the biggest blessing of all: going to his new home church while he’s at NAPS and witnessing his baptism 🙌

Xavier, we know God has big plans for you. Keep Him first, keep working hard, and continue becoming the incredible young man you’re meant to be. We are so proud of you and love you so much 🫶

Part 2: Parents’ Weekend in Newport, R.I., at the Naval Academy Preparatory School was more than we anticipated and wonderful. We made the trip with Xavier’s girlfriend, Shelby, and it was wonderful to see them reunite after he’d been away. They both have missed each other.

Watching our Midshipman Cadets in their working dress blues during the Pass-in-Review was truly unforgettable. They marched with pride, precision, and professionalism. Saturday was filled with energy, from tailgating to cheering on the team as they extended their winning streak with a 55–21 victory over Bridgeton Academy. After the game, the cadets got some well-deserved off-base liberty for the 1st time. Xavier treated us to an incredible dinner at The Mooring; the seafood was excellent, and the company even better. Afterward, he and Shelby spent some relaxed downtime together with a few other couples.

We also had the chance to visit a lovely local church for praise and worship, which was a really special experience. It’s definitely a place we’d love to visit again whenever we’re back.

Before we said our goodbyes, we made a quick grocery run to fill up his fridge with all his favorite snacks and foods. I had to hold back tears at drop-off; it wasn’t easy saying goodbye after we prayed together. But we are just so proud of the growth we’re seeing in him. This process isn’t easy, but he’s truly managing it like the leader he was called to be. We love you, son, and will see you in a few weeks. Keep working hard and putting God 1st. Isaiah 40:31 💙💛⚓️🏈
