Ledge grind continues! Started out with @luke_lowell_liszanckie bogeys, and then the last 3 moves were with credit cards! Still need to project that last move…still, very cool line set by @aced_ninja!
I need to continue to get used to the texture of credit cards, as even though I feel strong I slip off of them quite easily if I’m not consciously thinking about body positioning and keeping enough tension.

Course Design for our Tier 2 WNL Competition @smithtownninja!
Had a lot of fun with this one, and it turned out great! My biggest goal was to really challenge kids with tricky moves as they start to progress into competing in Tier 1 competitions (where moves are often highly technical and intimidating). Very, very impressed with how kids pushed themselves through discomfort, as that is a necessary step in growing not only as a ninja, but as a person!
Huge shoutout to everyone who made this competition so amazing!!! Now it’s time to get back to work!

Ninja Warrior, but I commentate my run!
Much as this challenge was in good fun, I hope it also helps provide insight into my approach of attacking a course: about what details/moves I’m trying to execute, when to push/pull, and how to approach tricky obstacles.
Shoutout to @ninjagirl_24 for the tech on the cliff obstacle!

Finally got this move from the Big Time NSC event. Easily one of the hardest things I have ever attempted; it took me 3 training sessions and well over 100 tries before I got it. I don’t even want to talk about how many times I needed to reset the rock hold from gripping too hard.
Never has an obstacle made me so infuriated with myself, though. While I am elated to have gotten the move, there is no excuse for it taking as long as it did. As an athlete who loves this type of complex movement, the fact that I couldn’t execute this in sooner attempts (despite understanding everything I needed to do) makes me dissatisfied, and hungry to improve. But overall, still happy with myself, and I finally learned how to turn 180 degrees in the air.

Haven’t ran speed in a few weeks, and boy does it show. Nonetheless, a lot of fun, and great to train before our head to head competition @freeportninja!
Haven’t trained too much recently, but have been extremely motivated while coaching and seeing my students continue to crush it during classes. I love seeing their growth, as well as the growth with our adult night crew!

She’s been wanting to play volleyball for a few years, but with ninja and now flag football, it was tough to squeeze in. But she tried out and made her middle school team, and is enjoying the experience and team camaraderie 🥰.
