Meet photographer Daniel Jimenez.

“Hi, I’m Daniel. Born in Whittier, CA to my Mexican immigrant parents, I moved to Seattle about eight years ago. I fell in love with the dark room process in high school and have been shooting film ever since. I also shoot digital for long exposures and light painting but my passion lies in working with film. Working with film you get to experience the whole process from beginning to end if you have the tools and choose to. I develop and scan all my own film, and am grateful for the process.”

Daniel currently bartends at Deep Dive and resides in the Fremont neighborhood with his kitty, Michi, the love of his life. One of his cocktail creations has been on the Dark Room menu since opening, the Guns n Rosé. Come check out his work on the wall and in the glass! Bowling photo credit: @e___deer

Meet Emily Deering, one of our newer staff members here at Panda.

She got into film photography when her mom introduced her to the family Canon AE-1 when she was 14 years old. She said, “I was hooked from then on.”

Her favorite photography moments are when she’s just wandering the lesser known streets of cities and taking in all of the “mundane” scenes full of interesting light and angles. She shoots with a Mamiya 645 1000s and a Canon AE-1. “I love Kodak Portra 800.”

In addition to working at Panda, she does art department work and is currently making a documentary.

Check out some of her work and be sure to follow her @e___deer
