The monolithic @filippo_sorcinelli #unum Oceano Viola bottle recalls the weave of canvas with its torn sheet. Painting becomes surface. Violet becomes skin. The sea becomes breath. The message caught in the safety pin is carved upon the cap, resting as a living relic, evoking instability, provisional closure, a wound held together by makeshift means, an ambiguous protection. Everything is precarious, doubled, poorly stitched. Things appear still, yet tremble in their tears. „Top hit on the go, this magnetic creation is designed on a symphony of ylang-ylang, tuberose and gardenia and a pizzicato of pink pepper and addictive balsam.“. Magnetic it is indeed - Or should I say, addictive?😁 Because I cannot get enough of it! May I introduce you to this genderless white floral seducer, I Belong to U by @musicologyparfums - I‘m very open to all olfactive families, but florals… My relationship status would be set to „difficult“ - That’s why I was extremely curious, what @nathalielorson_masterperfumer would come up with. Turns out, I Belong to U changed my mind in a (beautiful, yet dirty) way. - After a short (and loud!) opening with pink pepper, I immediately get the full flower-dose: Ylang-Ylang, Gardenia and… Tuberose? A powerful trio - including my biggest enemy: Tuberose. I’m glad that it is so cleverly implemented! It does not feel like one of these „granny-like“ Tuberoses, it’s the exact opposite: It feels very modern, and tbh: I would miss it, if it wasn’t part of the creation! All three flowers work beautifully together, creating a slightly sweet, aromatic and animalic bouquet - yep, I just said that, animalic. I don’t know where this naughtiness comes from, but it’s there - and I’m glad its there, because it works. This animalic bouquet is later (after like 4-6 hours of wearing) cushioned by a balsamic, warm and slightly earthy base with Peru balsam and Patchouli, which is very comforting after this intense yet beautiful trip. It feels like a reward. - I Belong to U plays with my senses and one thing is clear: This is not an „on-off relationship“, neither is it love - this is pure lust. It belongs to me now, and we will have a lot of fun together. Cheers. - For all those of you, who find all the other white florals leaning too much on the feminine side, this one might be for U (although it’s perfectly unisex)! - Have you tried @musicologyparfums creations? I find them all to be quite unique!
