Still fired up from an incredible night at the 2026 Big Wave Awards 🌊🏆

Grateful for the invitation and the opportunity to be in a room surrounded by so many familiar faces and people who continue to inspire me by pushing the limits of big-wave surfing.

Even better getting to experience it alongside my wife. ❤️

Walking away from this night more motivated than ever for the winter ahead. The goal is simple — keep progressing, keep facing the fear, and keep pushing my own limits when the opportunities come.

Thank you @sharpxxl @bigwavechallenge @aquamarseafood for putting this on and help keeping Big Wave Surfing in the lime light and recognizing those that push the limits in the sport.

Congrats to all the winners and @tomloweyo for nailing a well deserved surfer of the year!! Your calling is BIGGER than you know🙏🏻🫡!

🏆 WIPEOUT OF THE YEAR 2026

Todavía me cuesta asimilarlo. Crecí en Málaga, junto al Mediterráneo, y el mar siempre ha sido mi refugio, mi forma de escapar de todo y de sentirme pequeño ante su inmensidad. Nunca imaginé que aquella pasión me llevaría hasta California para ganar el Wipeout of the Year.

Haber construido este camino desde cero, sin medios, a base de trabajo, viajes, sacrificios y pasión, hace que todo sea aún más especial.

Gracias de corazón a @dinocarmo , @froismanuel y a todo el equipo de @nazarejet . En condiciones así, la confianza y la conexión pueden marcarlo todo.

Honored to co-host the Big Wave Awards last weekend in California with @sharpxxl at the @lidotheaternewportbeach! 🏆 The @bigwavechallenge brought the bravest watermen and waterwomen together to celebrate the Biggest Wave, Paddle Award, Ride of the Year, Worst Wipeout, and Performance of the Year. We also awarded a Young Gun award and Videographer of the Year, in addition to tributes to legends of surf photography. Mahalo to everyone that came out to celebrate this inspiring sport, and to @aquamarseafood for all their support.

We’re starting with the WIpeout of the Year finalists, @lucaschumbo, @e_nicholson and @alberto_truncerr all taking world-class beatings and surviving with a smile on their face. Of course the winners will be announced at the gala @bigwavechallenge awards show presented by @aquamarseafood on September 19 at the iconic Lido Theater in Newport Beach, California, USA.
