A year spent in the perfect providence of my Lord God

breaking strongholds and stereotypes @thearchretreat

Around September of last year, I met a group of people who would forever change my life. My community of friends at Prince Avenue Baptist Church have truly shown me the love of Christ and poured into me in ways I didn’t know I needed. After hearing some of them talk about their experience at ARCH Retreat in 2024, I knew this was a move of God that I wanted to be apart of.

Fast forward to this year, and I just finished serving as a counselor for an amazing group of incoming freshman whom I love dearly. God showed up with over 300+ students from all different backgrounds who attended. I can’t wait to see what the Lord does in and through all the students and staff leaders in the next year. All the glory to Him! ❤️🖤

Not a bad day on the course for not only myself, but the team!! Ended up shooting 79(+7) to get into a playoff for county runner up. Big congrats to day 1 @kamden_graham on being the county champ. Wouldn’t want to be apart of any other team!!🐕🐕

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭28‬ ‭

I thought my purpose was to be a pro bodybuilder, to be a fitness influencer, to own a successful business. All these dreams were centered around what I wanted, what the world wants me to do. Although those things aren’t necessarily bad platforms to be a part of they were all a part of my selfish ambition to be better than everyone else. The truth is my dreams were all centered around me; how I could be rich, how I could have fame, how I could be better than everyone else. Looking back I see those as broken dreams, and it was a hard pill to swallow when I had to lay them all at Jesus’ feet. As followers of Christ, we may have different platforms but our true purpose is spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ by being stewards of the faith, and I can genuinely say that is my ambition.
