🩵 FEATURE 🩵
Welcome to another
round of #forloveofironstone! Once again, you have amazed us with all of your stunning shares! It’s always difficult to choose just one, but we did.
We are thrilled to welcome Amy @cottonandrust as our “Ironstone & Summer vibes” feature & guest host!

Reminiscent of a clear Summer sky, Amy’s soft beachy blues accented her beautifully styled ironstone shelfie with that sweet Summer time feeling. Delicate and perfectly matched hydrangea blooms sealed the deal! We were sold on Amy’s gorgeous cool Summer blues & ironstone square and we know you will be too!

We’d like to thank Dana @imaynotbeaprofessional for joining us as our last feature and guest host! It was such a pleasure having her! Our new theme is “Ironstone & linens/quilts!” We can’t wait to see your gorgeous squares!
Remember to use our hashtag
#forloveofironstone and tag us so we don’t miss your gorgeous vignettes!

Applause please! The reason? I am remembering to use a hashtag today!

My friend, JoAnn, @queeniev8 always inspires me with her beautiful vignettes! And since I’d love to be like JoAnn when I grow up, my little wheels started turning. JoAnn is looking for our white chippy treasures, and I remembered I had a few! As a matter of fact, I have great floor to ceiling shelves in my living room, filled with such treasures, but the lighting is so poor, I’ve given up photographing there. BUT, in a moment of absolute genius, I had the thought to move a few pieces to my office area, where I do have great light! Sometimes I amaze myself! What do you think, friends?

And, JoAnn, thanks for the daily dose of inspired decor! 🥰

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

A friend sent me several pictures of her Christmas decor the other day. She takes great joy in placing each holiday treasure. A woman with a great memory, she can tell you where each ornament or Christmas keepsake came from. As she places each item, it is a comforting trip down memory lane. This has been a difficult year for her I’m many ways, but sweet memories are soothing balm to my dear friend.

Some would argue our holidays have become too commercial, but there is a significant amount of “comfort and joy” that comes from our collections!!

You are seeing some of my ephemera pieces. The prize is the 1914 calendar my husband found for me at a local flea market. In the lower left is a small 1914 piece. Probably a promotional item. On the back of the card, top left, is an add for Lion Coffee! For whatever reason, this sort of thing fascinates me. I’m not buying Santa mugs or Shiny Brites this year, but I’ve spent way too much on antique postcards!

What are you collecting this Merry Month of December?!

Sales and Salutations!

Are you ready to enjoy the “most wonderful time of the year”!?

This is one of my favorite pictures from last season. It inspired the sale of about a 100 of these vintage-looking flocked Christmas trees. There are 10 left in my studio storage…the 8” size. ALL SOLD NOW!! If you have any use for these pretty trees, they will be 2/18.00. Just a few dollars above wholesale! (Shipping extra.) Additional goodies for sale keep being added to my Highlights. Traditional mid-century goodies coming on late Tuesday.

As I get “back on my feet” this selling season, you will see me post a few small sales this week. Forgive me if there is no “rhyme nor reason” to my posts. Some days my recovering body just says “enough”! If you aren’t celebrating your good health, take a moment to do so! ❤️

After this week, I’m getting out my jingle bells, using my cane as a dancing prop, and simply enjoying the season! Are you with me?! 👯‍♀️👯👯👯‍♀️

Did someone say Santa flatlay??!!

So many fun hashtag groups on IG! Unfortunately, I rarely participate. I forget to post, or I see the appropriate theme, two hours past the deadline to post! But, when I saw #vintagevignetteabc was looking for Santa flatlays, I actually made myself a note. Imagine that?

Here’s a fun and festive flatlay, featuring antique Santa postcards, a sweet old Santa book, and graphics from the oh so creative Bobbie, @frenchdoorstudio Ask Bobbie about the cute little girl on Santa’s lap? (Swipe left for close-ups. )

And, in BREAKING HASHTAG GROUP NEWS!!! Guess who has joined the group #forloveofironstone as a hostess?? Okay, tired of guessing?? It’s me!! Shake those jingle bells! I’m delighted! Take a moment to read my previous post, featuring my friend, Cherie, @cherie_hallock AND learn about the next group challenge and the great group of host and hostesses. Hint, get out your ironstone and Christmas greens!

Have a wonderful week of turkey and thanksgiving. So much to be grateful for. I count each of you among my blessings. XOXO, Jackie 🥰
