"May the wind under your wings bear you where the sun sails and the moon walks." ~The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien 🍃 • • • Happy Hobbit Day!! Today is the fictional birthday of both Bilbo and Frodo Baggins! J.R.R. Tolkien’s “The Hobbit” was published on the twenty-first of September in 1937. The Hobbit has such a truly special place in my heart. Since first I entered Middle-Earth through this story, it is never out of my mind. What a beautiful, honest, heartfelt, and truly wonderful story. “There is more in you of good than you know, child of the kindly West. Some courage and some wisdom, blended in measure. If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.” ~Thorin Oakenshield Happy Reading to all my fellow Tolkienites!! • • • • • • • #thehobbit #tolkien #tolkienite #hobbitday #tolkienreader #tolkienbooks #bilbobaggins #frodobaggins #thehobbitbook #thorinoakenshield #thehobbit75thanniversaryedition #middleearth #bookish #aestheticbooks #tolkienbookstagram #classicfantasy #jrrtolkien #tolkienquotes #hope #happyhobbitday #hobbitaesthetic #tolkienbooks #tolkiendwarves #lessnoisemoregreen #oldsouls #tolkienfan #classicliterature #readoldbooks #jrrt The Hobbit by J.R.R. “The world is indeed full of peril, and in it there are many dark places; but still there is much that is fair, and though in all lands love is now mingled with grief, it grows perhaps the greater.” ~J.R.R. Tolkien 🥀 • • • This quote always lifts my heart. There is such depth and beauty to be found in Tolkien’s masterful stories. It’s difficult to explain just how special his writing is, but if Tolkien’s books have touched your heart and wakened your soul, then you know the power of stories of true goodness in the midst of evil and hope in spite of despair. There is always hope! #qotd What are your favorite Tolkien quotes? Tolkien, The Lord of the Rings 🥀 • • • The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien— I cannot express my love for these stories enough. They are such a beautiful part of my life. This vintage Tolkien book set is one of my very favorite collections!! The books have a lovely natural aesthetic about them that feels so true to Tolkien. The cover art is by J.R.R. Tolkien himself! #qotd Which cover is your favorite?? And when did you first discover a love for Tolkien’s books?? • • • #tolkien #tolkienite #tolkienbooks #jrrtolkien #jrrtolkienquote #thehobbit #thelordoftherings #tolkienvintage #tolkienbookcollection #thehobbitbook #thelordoftheringsbooks #tolkiencollection #classicliterature #classicliteraturequotes #classicfantasy #readoldbooks #vintageclassics #middleearth #jrrt #tolkienbookstagram #classicbookstagram #tolkienbookcollector #timelessclassics #lordoftheringsbookcovers #bibliophile #tolkientuesday #aestheticbookstagram #tolkiencollector
