In Franklin, Early June Flower Farm has quickly become a beloved fixture in the community, offering a resplendent array of locally grown blooms while championing sustainable farming practices.

Owned and operated by Nicole Bobek and Mackenzie Garner, this flourishing venture embodies a commitment to cultivating beauty and fostering environmental stewardship in the heart of Tennessee’s countryside.

Their journey into flower farming was born in 2022 from a shared love for the outdoors and a desire to work with their hands. The pair met while working for Luke and Caroline Bryan, with Bobek serving as a long-time personal assistant to support the growing Bryan business ventures, and Garner putting her passion to caring for horses and other rescue farm animals to work at Brett’s Barn.

Welcome to our women's issue! With this annual issue, we hope to continue at least scratching at the surface of the untold stories of the amazing women that comprise our community. Our mothers, daughters, friends, sisters, neighbors are some of the most influential women in our lives and are doing awesome things in our area and beyond. 👸

And while it's always important to shop local and support our area businesses, this month is the perfect time to patronize businesses owned by women in our communities. They are movers and shakers, builders and makers. From cover star Hannah Brown whose new book is sure to be a favorite summer beach read, to Simple Bars founders who live right here in Franklin, women are creating. From Nashville Pink Ride to Early June Flower Farm, women are fulfilling. From singer Jessie Baylin to influencer Nanette Johnson, women are achieving. And we get to tell you all about them, and so many others!

*Taking Orders* Spring seems like a distant dream, but it will be here before we know it. Market baskets have sold out for the winter season, I am taking custom orders for Easter/spring time. Right now I am doing local pick up and delivery only. DM for details or custom requests. The maker of these baskets is a local blueberry farmer, and this helps support his small business as well as mine. Thank you for your support!
