5 years of Yourboykaydo. These past five years have meant everything to me—dance and the community around it have given me more love, support, and purpose than I ever imagined. I’m so thankful for every moment, every lesson, and every person who’s been part of this journey. The passion I’ve found in this art form has shaped who I am, and honestly, ion know where I’d be without dance frfr💯.

@your_boy_kaydo is definitely “that (up and coming) GUY!” In the open style scene 😮‍💨👍✨🔥🔥🔥. Made @justsomekidds leave his MC 🎤 seat on this set 😂. Will he be a part of this years @youthsessions.sd Krush Movez youth battle and go for an unprecedented 3 time Open Style team champ 🤔😬🤩. This last September 22, 2024 at @earnyourkeepjam inside @thehillstreetcountryclub 👊✨💯. #yourboykaydo #abstractdancecrew #earnyourkeep #earnyourkeepjamvol3 #kaydo #hiphopculture #hiphopdance #thatguy #sddancedadclipz #sandiego #sd #osidereppin

Youngest competitor at @earnyourkeepjam Vol. 2 on March 19, 2022 #bboyscribblz putting everyone on notice. Only nine days shy of turning age 7 at the time… this 6 year old let everyone know he’s here to throw down too. Making it to the semis losing to eventual winner @kidd_hybrd 🤩👍. @clay_n_collins_mama #bboy #scribblz #sddancedadclipz #hiphopculture #dancebattle #youthdancebattle #sd #sandiego #oceanside #earnyourkeep #earnyourkeepjam #earnyourkeepjamvol2

This day changed my life…March 19, 2022 I went to my very first hip hop dance battle at @earnyourkeepjam in Oceanside, CA. It’s funny how one day or event can change the course of your life. My daughter had just joined Mini Shock as a 7 year old and the kids were expected to go to the battle by their coach @dancingirl619 🥰👍. She had joined only a month before this and I literally didn’t know anyone at this battle or anyone in the dance scene at all! I started videoing the kids and coaches this day so Sammy would have content to study and practice to…what it’s lead to is so much more. I know almost every person in this video now and so many others because I trusted my intuition and was just trying to be helpful I guess. It’s been a pleasure getting to know and video so many of you the last three years 👊🤩👍✨💯🔥. From SD to so many other places to watch battles now is my thing as a Dance parent that’s where the whole #dancedad thing comes from. I just never expected to be doing this but it’s really given my family and myself so many new friends, memories, and laughs. Thank you 🙏 if you made it this far haha 😆 👍. -Matt aka the #sddancedad #sddancedadclipz #dancebattle #sd #sandiego #hiphopculture #hiphopdance #earnyourkeep #earnyourkeepjam #earnyourkeepvol2 #oceanside #bboysquish #squish

As the old saying goes, “it truly takes a village.” And your whole city and big extended family is always behind you #BgirlDhalia @allydelz 🎂✌️🤩👍✨💯🔥. A day late for your birthday post but you are a wonderful “Ate” or big sister figure to Sammy and so many others. You have that unique gift of performing always in the moment even though you have a quiet nature about you. Wishing you all the best this year and many more years of success in your journey 🥰👍✨. Your San Diego Dance/ @legiannatran video fam 💕 @finestcitybreaking @youthsessions.sd @watertay21313 ❤️. Enjoy your highlights from the last year. Special shout out to all of Ally’s great breaking coaches @eranetik @dynorock.8 @poolznyc @lejeffakira @des_n33 @daybreak.breaks and some I’m probably missing in there.
