Today my mama heart is so full. 🥹❤️

Watching my daughter have her very first curated art show, Fotos y Recuerdos, was something I’ll never forget, I’m so damn proud of her! Seeing her artwork displayed alongside so many incredibly talented artists, all celebrating childhood memories, culture, and growing up in Los Angeles, filled me with so much pride.🥹 and all for a cause 🫶🏼

This is only the beginning, mi hijita. ✨ I can’t wait to watch your talent grow, your art reach more people, and your dreams get bigger with every passing year. Keep creating, keep believing in yourself, and never stop sharing your big beautiful heart with the world 💖💖💖

I’ll always be your biggest fan. I love you beyond words. ❤️🎨

FOTOS Y RECUERDOS CURATOR IVY, UNITES ARTISTS FROM ACROSS THE VALLEY AND BEYOND TO SHARE REFLECTIONS OF CHILDHOOD MEMORIES
@earth2ink
@thirdhousestudios_vannuys

With about 70 artists participating, the theme was centered around childhood memories, Ivy mentioned, “the idea was to showcase either something important from their upbringing, something that brought back nostalgia, or a memory they wanted to honor.”

Ivy shared where the spark for this exhibition came from, “The idea for this theme came from my own experience with creating art. I realized I rarely gave myself the time to stop, look back, and reflect on where I came from and how far I’ve come. Growing up in a Latino household, creativity wasn’t always something that was emphasized or seen as a traditional career path, so I wanted to create a space for everyone to reflect on their own journey.”

A variety of vendors and low riders filled the Third House Community Art Studio space, with the ticket proceeds going towards school supplies for youth of the San Fernando Valley.
