I performed Nekyia or the Crows, my short multimedia play, for the first time this July at @earth__net . I wrote the script, and @arthursillers created the audio and visuals.
In the play, one woman struggles to deliver an academic lecture on the Greek Civil War while another attempts to use nekyia, an ancient Greek ritual for summoning the dead, to bring her grandfather back to life.
More images to come. 🐦‍⬛

To quote Oscar Wilde, “we have no right to quarrel with an artist for the conditions under which he chooses to present his work.” As we know, a writer is under no obligations to attach their name and face to their work. Writing as JT LeRoy has allowed me to integrate the parts of myself which I could not express what I needed to under my own name. But, my forthcoming memoir will be under my own name.

NYC: July 24th, 6PM. Join Do Not Research and Earth for DESTROY ALL SERVERS, an evening of offline cinema, secret networks, and digital escape routes, featuring the US premiere of THE END OF THE INTERNET, a documentary about the internet decentralization movement. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Director Dylan Reibling and Theresa Tomi Faison. ️

Before the screening, audience members can access a secret server hosting a parallel version of the film: raw footage, deleted scenes, research fragments, rough notes, live chat rooms, and hidden easter eggs. Viewers’ activity will be screened on monitors throughout the space.
