You Deserve to Live Again
By Meggan Roxanne

Thanks to the ALC program by @librofm I had the opportunity to connect with Meggan Roxanne’s book and I’ve acquired tools to learn to navigate grief.

Blurb:
In You Deserve to Live Again, bestselling author Meggan Roxanne draws on her own experience of devastating loss to show that healing doesn’t mean forgetting. It means learning how to hold your grief while slowly making space for yourself again.
Through heartfelt reflections, healing practices, ancient rituals and practical tools, Meggan guides you through three essential stages of healing:

❤️‍🩹You Deserve to Grieve – honour your loss, understand your emotions and give yourself permission to feel.
❤️‍🩹You Deserve to Heal – reconnect with your body, rebuild your sense of self and gently begin moving forward.
❤️‍🩹You Deserve to Live – rediscover hope, purpose and joy while creating a life that feels meaningful again.
This isn’t a book about moving on from your grief. It’s about learning to carry it with compassion while slowly making space for hope, healing and joy again. A gentle companion for anyone who has experienced loss, You Deserve to Live Again reminds you that although grief changes your story, it doesn’t have to define the rest of it. You deserve to live again.

My thoughts 💭

This is the book about grief I was longing to find. I found myself in at so many stages while listening to these heartfelt words of wisdom!
The author walked me through different moments during the day, through lots of possible scenarios and kindly shared her experiences for me to learn how to navigate them differently.

This is a book to help us walk with grief, not to forget about our loved ones neither to stop living because they’re gone. This is book that will push us to give that little extra step towards healing and moving from feeling grief like a rock around our necks, to a cozy bag full of love, memories and the knowledge that we ache because we have dared to love that much.

When someone is grieving a loss, a shattered plan, or a broken heart, most people look away because sorrow is uncomfortable. Choosing to show up bringing food, checking in without expecting a reply, and holding safe space without rushing their tears is a sacred gift.

When you start to realise your presence is an offering, something shifts. You notice how drained you feel after certain conversations. You notice who only calls when they need something. You notice which rooms leave you feeling bigger and which ones leave you feeling small.

Learn to be selective. Your energy is finite, and the people you allow in should pour back into you, not just take. It’s about choosing the energy you tune into, the same way you’d choose what you eat, what you watch, and who you let into your home.

Protecting your peace can feel lonely at first. Some people won’t understand why you’re less available. And that’s okay. The more valued your presence becomes to you, the less you’ll feel the need to explain it.

You are allowed to be picky about who gets the best of you 🌻
