Renovating the Guesthouse…

Everything has unfolded so quickly this year that it has been impossible to document everything as we go. Here’s how we transformed three BnB rooms into our wonderful Guesthouse for @fallowretreats

The intention for the guesthouse was to create a space that felt indulgent, restorative and uplifting for our guests, where they could happily stay for the weekend or for the month. With a limited budget for the renovation, we had to be really resourceful and think outside the box - more on this to come!

ad NURSERY PANELLING ✨

Well, it’s been a labour of love and I’ve learned many new skills including how to use a jigsaw, a caulking gun, how to cut around a plug plate, NOT TO GET OIL BASED PRIMER 😖, how to remove oil based primer 🙈 just to name a few new things I’ve learned.

But ultimately, @easipanel have made this process fool proof and completely beginner friendly and I am so happy with how the panelling has turned out.

We painted it French Gray by Farrow and ball and I just love how in the light the grain of the wood looks just perfect!👌

Thank you to @easipanel for working with us on this one! 🥹

It’s time for the wallpapering and shelving next before we can do a full nursery reveal 🙌

A few little changes to the girls’ room 🤍🌸

I’ve added the sweetest little side table in between their beds, and these wicker flowers on the wall are just so them 🥹🎀

It’s funny how adding just a couple of little details can make a room feel completely different. Slowly making their little space feel more and more like them 🤍

Both the side table and wicker flowers are from @vertbaudetuk

From day to night ✨🤎

A little glow-up as the evening sets in… cosy corners, twinkling lights and all the warm autumn feels 🍂🕯️

There’s something about this little corner at night that makes it feel so much cosier and more inviting - the soft glow, twinkling lights and warm tones make it the perfect little cosy spot as the evenings draw in 🤎✨

Which do you prefer - day or night? 🍂🕯️S x

Home in every season is lovely, but autumn brings a level of warmth and cosy that sparks so much joy and contentment for the littlest of things. Forever an autumn girlie at heart 🍂✨🦔 🍏
