I got a text from Pari that said, “There is a discrepancy in your resume. Please call me.” That scared the crap out of me. But that was what started everything. Now, I say goodbye as everything comes to a close.

To Ashwin: No other media director could top your energy, enthusiasm, and confidence in every single post you completed. As I look back on Day 1 when we started making the introduction post to now saying farewell, we did good. I am happy I got to work with you, and I hope this isn’t a goodbye, but a see you later.

To Jivi: The only council member I never got to see in person. Nonetheless, you brought the laughs and interesting gossip to our meetings. From day 1 to now, your media folder is looking a little bit bigger than when we started. I wish you the best of luck in college and moving forward. (Take a LOT of photos!)

To Max: You and I had a coincidentally full circle moment. From the National Stage in 2025 to now being on a council with you, I am entirely grateful. You have the best advice and are always at peace. Meeting you at SLC was a blast, and your future journey is bright. UChicago is very lucky to have you.

To Siri: I knew we would instantly click from the moment I met you in person at NFLC. You bring so much to the table and more. I hope that NFLC 2025 isn’t the last time I’ll meet you, but a start to more hangouts and two-hour FaceTime calls about random stuff. I don’t know if we will ever work with each other again, but I am always here to talk and rant about anything. See you and talk soon.

To Pari: So much appreciation and gratitude come from my heart when I was chosen to work with you. I never would have thought there would be a time when I actually got to work with a national officer. Freshman year me always wondered how FBLA members got to such a high level in this organization, and now, as I step out of junior year, I am here. You were amazing as an officer, and I am proud to be one of your media directors. You will do incredible things in college and beyond.

To Claire: I am really happy we both are in it together! I can talk to you about anything FBLA-related. Our journey isn’t over yet. 😉

(here’s to the longer version 🥹)

at the beginning of the year, if you had told me that the members of erc would become some of my closest friends, i wouldn’t have believed you. i never would’ve imagined that a group so small could leave such a huge mark on my life in just one year.

somewhere between all the wednesday night meetings, random phone calls, workshops, conferences, and countless conversations, you all became so much more than people i served alongside. you became people i know i’ll carry with me long after this year ends. i came into this role expecting leadership experience, but i’m leaving with friendships that i know will last so much longer than a title ever could. that is something i will never stop being grateful for.

max, thank you for always knowing exactly what to say. whether i was calling you over something important, something completely random, or trying to plan that nyc trip, you somehow always picked up. thank you for always making time for me and for being someone i knew i could rely on. you were also literally the first person to commit to college, which somehow felt very on brand for you because you’re always one step ahead of everyone else. you’re seriously super smart lowk, and it’s been so cool getting to see how naturally everything comes to you. your kindness never goes unnoticed, and i hope you know how appreciated you are. i’m really going to miss all of our conversations because you’ve been one of those people who somehow makes everything feel a little less stressful.

jw, thank you for teaching me soooo much about media. i don’t think i ever said it enough, but knowing you were always there gave me so much confidence when i decided to run for md reporter historian. thank you for always believing in me, always having my back, and somehow managing to be the most sunshine-y and bubbly person i know. one of my favorite things has been watching our conversations go from thirty minute phone calls to somehow never ending before two hours. i don’t think i’ll ever understand how we always had something new to talk about, but i’m so glad we did. your kindness, your enthusiasm, and the way you make everyone around you
