I’m excited to announce my commitment to Eastern University to continue my academic and baseball career!

First, I want to thank Coach McCann and all the coaches who have pushed me, believed in me, and helped me get to this point. Thank you to my teammates for always competing, supporting me, and making this journey so special.

Most importantly, thank you to my family for all the sacrifices, support, and love along the way. None of this would be possible without you, and I’m forever grateful for everything you’ve done for me.

I’m blessed for this opportunity and can’t wait to get to work and be a part of the Eastern family!

I’m excited and blessed to announce my commitment to Eastern University! 🦅⚾️
First and foremost, I want to give all praise and glory to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He has blessed me with amazing people throughout my journey and given me the strength, wisdom, and opportunity to continue playing the game I love at the collegiate level. I’m trusting His plan and can’t wait to see what He has in store for me.
Thank you to the Holy Spirit baseball program, especially Coach Edwards, Coach Mancini, and Coach Gross. You have helped me grow not only as a baseball player, but as a person, and I will always be grateful for the impact you have had on my life. And Coach Gross, thank you for the Capri Suns and all the Cars (the movie).
A special thank you to the Spena family for taking me in, helping me through my transition to Holy Spirit, taking me to practices, feeding me, and treating me like family. I will forever be grateful for everything you have done for me. Thank you Coach Harry for being a big help from the beginning of my baseball career.
To my family, thank you for always believing in me, supporting me, and pushing me through the good and difficult times. To my Dad and Mari, thank you for never giving up on me, supporting my goals, and always wanting the best for me. I hope I continue to make you proud.
To my mom, thank you for raising me, teaching me, and always believing in me. You have been there from the very beginning, and I wouldn’t be the person I am today without you. I love you and will always be grateful for you.
And to Jayde, thank you for always being there for me, supporting me through baseball and school, keeping me focused, and helping me stay strong in my relationship with God. I’m truly grateful for you and everything you do for me.
There are so many more people I could thank, but this post would be way too long. To everyone who has supported me throughout this journey, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I’m beyond excited for this next chapter and ready to see what the Lord has in store for me.

I am more than excited to announce that I am 100% committed to continue my academic and athletic career at Eastern University.

First and foremost, I want to thank our lord and savior as nothing would be possible without him. I would like to thank my parents for all of their time, effort, and support. I am excited to announce that I am committed to further my athletic and academic career at Eastern University. First and for most I wouldn’t be where I am without God. I thank God for the talent to play the game I love each and everyday. Second, I want to thank my mom for everything. She has pushed me every single day to be a better person on and off the field and has been by my side through this whole journey. Without her I wouldn’t have half the man I am today. Today, we celebrate Eduan Negrin, Orisjoe “Yoyo” Valdes, and Yuxnel “Gato” Gato as they begin an incredible new chapter at Eastern University! 🎓⚾️

You dreamed. You worked. You sacrificed. You faced challenges that could have made you quit—but you kept moving forward. And now, what once felt like a distant dream has become your reality.

As you step onto a new campus, into new classrooms, and onto a new baseball field, remember: you belong there. You earned this opportunity.

Eduan, Yoyo, and Gato—carry with you everything this journey has taught you. Stay humble. Stay disciplined. Believe in your abilities. Support one another. And when things get difficult, remember how far you've already come.
